I am John, your host.   THanks for coming over.  I assume we all love the game V&V and comics.   I am trying to sort out posts from my old forum and I will have a lot to post in the next few days.   In the meantime, feel free to make your own new topics.

Just dropping in to let you know I'm here, and post a little info. Long term V&V player (26 years!), and poster on several V&V related boards.

  I would like to say that I need your help.  If anyone remembers a thread from the old forum  please post it here and I will rewrite it as best as I can.  Also,  things marked as such *Something*  means that I have yet to hyperlink it to the proper thread.    I will ask peroidically if anyone sees any * *  that I may have forgotton about.

Hey  Vaughn!  Wow, long time no hear.  This site only took a day to set up.  The other admin is my friend Paul and he is a wiz with computers.  I tweaked a bit, but he did the heavy lifting.

   So whats going on in NM?    How is everyone?  Still reading comics?

I think MOST of us are in that age group.

My group has a little bit different of a demographic, but only because we have a few older people and a few second generation V&Vrs.  So we're as young as 17 and as old as mid-to-late 50's.

I'm 44, so I fit in that range.

DW, I'm not sure what other games you play, but I know that the guys that run Blackwyrm games are in your area, game, and attend cons on the regular. Holler at them, as a do know that a few of them are former V&V gamers. They also have a long running Champions campaign, an Aaron Sullivan, runs a M&M group.

Hello everyone.

Big long time fan of V&V, discovered it a couple of years after it had come out in the 2nd edit.

I like 4color hero gameplay. Not much into dark heroes but I do feel dark heroes are necessary (otherwise things might get kinda boring if everyone makes uplifting speeches and smiles like they are on a Crest Commercial)

I have everything by V&V including a lot of the stuff that eventually showed up on the net that didn't make it to product (Though... I am still missing the first rulebook and that module with the cyclops guy on it and three mile island in the background).
I was GM only for the games of V&V that we (our group of players) played.
I ran a campaign that lasted over 6 yrs (very character driven), and a reboot that lasted 3 more.

I have done a lot with V&V.
I am an illustrator (Though not professional... kinda turned that down and my back on that)... so I have LOTS of drawn stuff of V&V (huge HUGE love the the Crusaders team) and I love to write.
Including having made a ton of stuff for a now defunct (I think) computer game called Freedom Force (I have a site with a lot of the main characters from the various Modules of V&V if anyone is interested. Though it is a yahoo group... so you would have to join. I think I posted some of the images/creations on the Yahoo Villains and Vigilantes site).

Anyhow. Recently tried playing a online posting superhero game in a forum... that didn't turn out all that well. I was kinda confused about how the posting/gaming thing was done and felt the GM wasn't taking into account the posted actions of the players. He got upset... there was a bit of flaming (Though I dispise doing that) and I quit playing (figuring that was for the best). I was totally into 100% and did an incredible volume/body of work to expand the world that unfortunately for the players... they didn't get to see.

If anyone is interested I can post some stuff that I have done. I am going to post a pic of my interpetation of what the cover to MOST WANTED Vol. 2 should or could have looked like. The character is the cover foe from the V&V rulesbook 2nd Ed. I made him into the foe called Magnet Man (name derived from the Crusder's bent girder in their trophy room, from the module "Crisis at Crusader Citadel")

Great cover!   Welcome as well.  I would love to see some of your art.   I too, have had a bad experience with gaming, but only one.   I never tried a pbem or anything, but I am curious about it.   I hope you like it here.  And yes, how did you hear about this place?

G7, welcome to the boards. I remember seeing some of you stuff on the old RPG boards, and I think it's great. Keep it up.

Doctor Foom is running a PBEM game, that I, and a couple of others are part of. Several other posters regularly post updates of their games here.
