The Grand Lie

   Not wanting the world to know that the USA hold the formula to create super beings, the Misdirection was created.   CHESS Pawns throughout the world each came up with their own version of why super beings have sprouted up.   Everything from super evolution to comets and cosmic rays have been proposed.  It was deemed super classified that a formula thousands of years old was the source of metahuman powers.  All other routes to super powers have been shut down.

  The *Kodo Cult* had to be exterminated, and Dr Hiroshe was executed.   The Black Grail  was recovered and secured.   The source of the slug like symbiants was located and contained.  The only loose end now is Dr Nadir.

With the average person thinking they can obtain super powers, they are all looking in different directions.  CHESS sent the most presentable of metahumans on a media blitz.  Since the cat is out of the bag, its better to make them familiar, and therefore,  less threatening.  With the exception of Jolt,  none wear a mask.  The trendy dress in spandex costumes while clubbing.  Kids carry  Super Hero trading cards and check off which superheroes they have seen in action.   Insurance companies are hiring their own superheroes to keep you safer.    One company hired a model,  the Wonder, as their own private super hero.  This back fired as she was captured by Subway Pirates and the short lived  hero Mr. Impossible went off  to find her.   She has since underwent the process and is now a bona fide super heroine.
