I plan on posting a few VERY rough character ideas. As I get time, the mood hits, or I just feel like tinkering with them, I'll add/edit info. I'd also like to get a little feedback on what I post.

Notes: Die Hard has no offensive abilities, but this dude is just flat out hard to kill, as he can soak up a LOT of damage, and heal from pretty much any would. Game wise, I want to use him as some sort of a government agent, as one of its field agents, or as part of a government sponsored  super team.

I've been tinkering around with some ideas for several "foreign" (as in none US based) characters and teams. The most detailed of them will be posted here. Feel free to comment.

White Lotus - A female martial artist, with the ability to alter her density.

Samurai Steel - A modern day Samurai, with a specially designed suit of armor.

The Protectorate - Russia's official government sponsored team of heroes. During the Cold War, the team, then known as the Red Vanguard, primarily acted as the Communist Party's offensive strike force, putting down descent wherever it arose, and standing a counterpoint to America's US government team, Safeguard. Currently based in Moscow, the team is composed of the following:

Berkut (Golden Eagle) - Russia's winged warrior.

Bizon - A male mutant with increased density, durability, the ability to boost his strength to superhuman levels.

Dolphin - A water breathing female.

I had pretty much the same NPC.  She married my friend's character White Tiger and after his death, she went psycho, changed her name to Tiger Lilly and tried to avenge him.

Powers:
1. Heightened Senses Device: Sensor Helm: 12 hours of continuous use.
a) Thermal Imager: Allows him to see heat patterns of objects/beings, including through "normal" walls up to 25 inches away.
b) Night Vision: No penalties for darkness
c) Telescopic Vision (x10 max magnification)
d) Echolocation: 3x Detect Hidden. 
e) Parabolic Hearing: 4x Detect Hidden.
f) Weakness Detection: 1" range. By expending an action he can determine one weakness, if any, and gain an INT/3 damage. bonus.
2. Heightened Charisma: +7

This guy was a random roll. While probably not a lot of good in combat, he's excellent at being able to gather information.

It depends on the artist. Some are professional, some are amateurs, so it'll vary. Also, they have different styles depending on who's doing the art.

I'd say when her psionics work and she is undetected, her detect hidden and danger percentages should get a buff up. Easier to look for stuff when people don't know you are there.

Maybe take an action for the improved detection and there is a chance she can break the psionic hold if she fumbles around while detecting (roll a 20 or something or simply make a roll vs agility)

Sounds like an interesting idea, I'll tinker around with her, at some point, and see what I can come up with.

A new NPC I came up with.

Vagabond

Identity: Unknown                             
Side: Good

1. Magical Item: Bag of Many Things: Vagabond can reach into his bag and pull out a single use item that duplicates any of the powers listed on the Magic/Psionics Devices table C/3 + 1 per three levels times per day. Once the item has been used, it is returned to the bag.
2. Teleportation (Modified): Limited to himself and his clothing. Linked to his Danger Sense Power (see below).
3. Heightened Senses: Danger Sense: Vagabond can instinctively sense where "something bad is going to happen". The Range is determined by the GM.
4. Low Self Control: Vagabond has no control over his teleportation, and will be instantly teleported if his Danger Sense is activated.
5. Training: +2 to hit with devices from his bag.

I actually can't take credit for the idea, as a buddy of mine came up with the initial idea. I modified it to my liking though.

I think there's something in the air...classic Alpha Flight making a comeback... I keep seeing references to Puck, Shaman, Northstar, and others from John Byrne's years on the comic. Then I saw on Amazon that "Alpha Flight Classic vol. 1" is sold out...can a movie be far off? Can we use computers to make Bob Hoskins into Puck? Or that little guy from "Game of Thrones"?
