I had a very similar character made up as Stormhawk, and I gave him a native American background? Name was Storm Bringer.  I forgot his real name, but it meant "Bringer of storms" in native American.

Same powers pretty much but with devitalization ray.  Pretty badass. I think John killed him, don't remember.

Personality/Character Traits: Samantha always sees the best in people, she's the glass is half full type of person. A single mother, she's dedicated to her son and would do anything to protect him.

Combat Tactics/M.O.: She tends to fly above the battle, using her flight abilities to avoid attacks, while engaging other fliers and hitting targets from above with her Stun Beams.

She uses a suit of Battle Armor that she thought was being developed for the US military. When she found out here employers were actually going to funnel the tech to anyone willing to pay their price, she destroyed her research, wiped their hard drives, and took off with the suit.
