John,

I screwed up when doing his assets for his Inheritor Rolls.

His total assets are $91,828,485.00

I don't really use wealth but may gravitate towards it. Also I think his Xps are higher but you may not have updated him from the last adventure.

Mr. Scott,

It appears that my queries into who was subsidizing your former Monastery have come to a Dead End. There is no information to be found at all and alas I have limited contacts in Asia. It seems the property was paid for centuries ago and any needs such as food and clothing are simply brought there by various suppliers. Invoices can be traced but anything I was able to track had no dollar figures attached and therefore did not trace back to any individuals or corporations for payments. I will of course continue if you desire.

On another matter I received a new offer on your book. It was another Origami Frog. The offer enclosed has been increased to "Two Yen Coins but the same amount of Knowledge". I honestly find this one even less amusing. It even appeared to have a little Asian Smiley Face. I was quite Perturbed.

  Regards,

  James Drucker, Esq.

Btw, just checking.  Is it even legal for John to have a Player Character?

Oh, and John, whatever happened to your acrobat character?  I believe that was a character you were going to run in my campaign.  And, if there should come a day when I actually learn the rules, I will definitely run a game!  Wink

PS: I wonder if your acrobat character is hanging out with my ten foot tall cyborg character?

First figure out Marshal Strong's to hit number, then we will talk about running a game. Cheesy

I had an acrobat character?  I don't remember.

Totally true!  I think I may still have the character sheet.  If this is a pattern, you seem to gravitate towards the agile, martial arts/Daredevil type character. Just a thought.

They are fun in this game.

Come to think of it, even with my few charcters, none of them were ever bruisers.

Sweet Scientist is a bit of a normal level bruiser, but one with brains. I especially love his disbelief that anything Dr. Mysterious does is magic/powers, but the effects of some kind of hallucinogenic gas.

That's part of the fun! Of course, it should be interesting to see what happens when you run into a real magician...

In Other News:

Last Evening or early this morning a freak accident involving a rental van and a small Tea House occured in the Little Tokyo District.

The rental van was found partially inside the front of "Mushi's Tea House". The establishment was mostly destroyed and luckily due to the time of the accident no injurieds were reported.

Police are investigating. It appears the Driver of the vehicle fled the scene and used false identification to rent the vehicle. Even the credit card used traces back to a false account.

Many locals were stunned by this episode and quite a number of local teens and young adults were seen earlier today cleaning the streets and assisiting with the re building of Mr. Mushi's Tea House.

Mr. Mushi was not available for comment but his Daughter Hana was on the scene.

"Such a terrible accident" was all she had to say.

John,

Not sure if it is the DOC or my computer but I can not open or save the Character Sheet. I need to make sure that each NPC Villain can kill him with no more than two attacks

I have had trouble opening a few character sheets or attachments. Not sure if you can repost it or just copy the info as a separate post

I modified john's post and re-attached the doc. I had a copy on my hard drive. Confirmed the old attachment was corrupt. Probably during the server transfer or something.

Check now, it should work. I also am attaching a PDF version here.

Sorry I thought you wanted a blank character sheet, like the one in the Player Character Sheet thread?

Just like I said yesterday. My favorite line from The 13th Warrior.

"Don't worry Little Brother, There are more".....

Very impressive though. Taking out Mach before he could react. Nice.

Randall Scott delves into The Book of Five Rings and after reflection notes that his copy contains varianaces against any previous copy he has ever read. Slight adjustments in verbage and some sketches lead him to the assumption that this version was written by a Low Level Meta  Human with the Abilities of Telekenisis and Telepathy.

  Mr. Scott,

I have received a recent communication from  some time art dealer and full time Entrepreneur Andrei Volkov. He wishes to view and most likely purchase one of your less common pieces. I believe it is entitled " Views from Transnistria" I reviewed the file on this painting and admit it appears to be a lovely piece of scenery though I am as yet unsure what it's value may be at this time. As usual it's value remains as whatever price someone is willing to pay.

Mr. Volkov has invited you to his Estate in Maldovia whenever you may find it convenient. He has offered his personal Jet to fly you there and back. Please advise of your thoughts on this so I may inform his representatives.

Personally I feel you could always use a vacation and my research shows that making contacts in Maldovia may be quite fruitful based off the countries recent changes and economic growth.

  Regards,

  James Drucker, Esq.

My time abroad was very therapeutic.

Nine months spent building a library and studying Japanese Literature.    Sometimes a change of venue can be just what the doctor ordered.    The last time I was here I was a carefree post grade.

Seeing the monks was also bittersweet.  The last time I saw then I was recovering from the loss of my wife and child.

The debut of my paper was met with mixed results. I guess it was naļve of me to think that such a ridge culture as Japan would accept my revolutionary re examination of the 5 Rings.

Time to get back stateside and see what my old friends are up to.

I am scary, very, very scary.
