I'm with Majestic on his suggestion about the "cap" limitation. Is there a way to change that?

One other suggestion, is there a setting that will allow us to go back and modify old posts? After a day or so, you can't make changes to old posts. 

Time limit removed. Don't know if this will impact old posts or just make them editable going forward though.

Lurkers, and Spammers, and Bots Quick suggestion. Require all new users to post, and basically provide a little info on themselves, withing 72 hrs of registering. I figure it would cut down on the number of bogus posters, and encourage others to actually post, instead of hiding on the sidelines.

I would like to see a section/folder made for and to discuss V&V products. Separate from the other four you already have.

The reason I feel we should have a separate section is to highlight the original game itself, not just leave it to mix in other posts (I would be happy to contrubute to it as much as possible).

That way we can spotlight Modules (with spoiler warnings) and other such things.
We could discuss the various V&V chara and leave the other sections for our ideas, characters and other such stuff.

It could also contain stuff from magazines and articles that could be summerized that are not readily avalibile (or that people are not aware of).

I would personally find this to be a very enjoyable place to post as I am strongly into the modules (as I did not make up a lot of Chara/NPCs, but modified a lot of the chara from the modules to fit my world).

We could also spotlight mods. Do polls. discuss the chara from within them.
As enjoyable as I find discussing everyone's own chara... I would moreso enjoy discussing the mods.

Any chance you could set that up?

SEARCH ENGINE: Any chance you could increase the volume of results for the Display how many results? the Maximum allowed now is only: 15.
I don't know if this stacks and creates extra pages at the bttm and the display is only what is allowed on a page... but with this site becoming more active and the posts getting more extensive, I would hate to see something good become lost in the archives and unreachable.
If I am wrong and just going the way of the Dodo... I apologize. *Grin!*

I love the pics.  They are wonderful!

The pics are very cool - I like them alot!   

I raised the attachment directory file size limit so we should be good for a while, but people need to be careful attaching such large file size picture files. .jpg's shouldn't have to be a half a meg to over a meg in size. If they are, use photobucket and start to imbed links or something.

The next time the folder hit's its limit, I will have to go in and clean out older attachments. Otherwise we might hit the server limits which will cost more money etc.

yeah we are ok for now, I'm not going to delete anything. Just giong forward, try to use photobucket and imbed links instead. But if you know the attachment is small in size, then you dont need to use photo bucket.

First of all, glad to be here. Am playing with a group monthly now and this will help me share and get ideas.

Secondly, can anything be done by me personally on changing the font size of the "post" text? I find the default size between my avatar and info to the actual post too severe. It feels like everyone's shouting in the dark! (see my screen capture)

The text is on the larger side, but John's eyes are going bad in his old age and he prefers it this way.

In regards to the PM settings, I'll check it out and report back.

*edit* ok just checked the PM settings and it's pretty wide open. There are no spam detection agents turned on and user are allowed to CC others and BCC others. Just make sure you are not trying to send a global announcement via PM, that is only allowed by Admins.
