Fights you want to see.

Capt. America (Steve Rogers) vs. classic Deathstroke: The Terminator (Slade Wilson) (when these guys were in their prime, they were basically the ultimate human fighting machines. This comic would rock.

The 80's Avengers vs. pre-COIE Brainiac (the robot version and his skull ship) and Lex Luthor (in his power armor). Drawn by George Perez of course.  Cool

Darkseid vs. an Infinity Gauntlet welding Thanos.

Batman vs. Taskmaster

Bullseye vs. Deadshot

Batman vs. Kingpin - Not necessarily a man-to-man fight, but a battle of wits over a limited series.

Gen 13 vs. the Hellions team from the 80's version of the New Mutants.

Adrian Chase.  And for the record,  he goes down like a brick if faced off agaisnt that mad man Frank Castle.  Anyone read the MAX series?   Castle is one of the best fighters in the comic book universe.  I think Batman would be toasted by Frank.

While I've seen the MAX version of Frank, I'd like to see the classic version of him going up against Adrian. And I still have bats beating the bricks off Frank any day of the week. Bats and Daredevil would be an interesting fight though.

I think Captain America would beat Deathstroke.  Not at first.  First Slade would beat Steve seven ways to Sunday.  Then Cap would make it his mission to take him down.  When it comes to planning,  Batman is the only one that comes close to Cap.

Darkseid vs Thanos.  I call Darkseid for two reasons.
A.  Thanos is the universes biggest maschocist.  He loves to be beat.  The easier it is for him to win, the more he sabotauges himself.

B.  Darkseid, while he has lost a few battles, is still fighting the same war.  I really think that Darkseid is some dark shepard, leading his flock ( ei everyone) towards some sinister end.  He shows up when they stray to far from his scheme, and goads them back to his path.  If it  means he takes a beating inorder to do so, its cool with him.  He knows that some day he will have his anti life equations, so its ok what happens in the short term.

The Avengers vs Braniac Luther?   Just think of this as  The Avengers vs Korvac and Ultron.  This is a tough one.  I have to think.

Bullseye vs Deadshot.   I think Deadshot would have the upper hand until he realised that this was his ticket out.  Then Bullseye would pick up a spend casing from Deadshot's guns and throw it through his eyesocket, killing him.  Bringing them both  pleasure.

Batman vs Kingpin in a long term campaign?   I would have to say Bruce, why?  deeper pockets.   With Bruce's contacts,  fame, money, and legit buisness skills added to  Batman's ruthless fighting,   Fatty would find that he is not up against a blind man with a stick or a goofy newspaper reporter, but a guy with access to every superheroe database, plus government agencies, and Oracle's ablity to wipe Kingpin's bank acounts out.   This would be funny, watching Kingpin reduced to a skinnyguy delievering pizza for cash.

Gen 13?  a bunch of horny teenagers who are too busy trying to feel each other up vs a bunch of well trained fighters that would kill you unless commanded not to?   C'mon...

To tell the truth,  I have no comics with the Punisher and the Kingpin.  He is never mentioned in the max series. I never picked him up until Garth Ennis took over.    It makes sense they would fight.  Did Frank ever shoot him?

You've have to go digging in the discount bins to find anything I'm talking about. Way back in the 80's Frank went after the Kingpin and his cronies. I don't recall him ever shooting him though.

I am and always have been of a mind that as powerful as Darkseid is... and as usually more powerful DC chara are compared to Marvel ones, that...

Galactus is the exception.
I think Galactus would literally WHIP on Darkseid... once he was through playing with him... figuring out what it is he is trying to accomplish or his motive...

Worse thing I believe that Darkseid could do would be to in some manner be consumed by Galactus (his power consumed... not literally him, with tartar sauce!) and in some way corrupt Galactus with some sort of cosmic mumbo jumbo essence thing.

Otherwise Galactus destroys him... eats Apocalypse... Then gets utterly beaten by Buried Alien... LOL

The SHIELD Nick Fury, or the Howling Commandos Nick Fury? Because Sgt Rock and Easy Company would mop the floor with the Howling Commandos (well maybe Nick and Dum Dum would stand a fighting chance Cheesy ).

Here's a few more.

Lex Luthor vs. Iron Man. Two brilliant billionaires, with boat loads of high-tech goodies. Let the fight begin!

Ok, I am reviving this thread,  but here are the rules;   you pick a person or person to go at it,  the next person has to respond to it THEN they get to pick a new battle.  Go it?

Cool,  I will start..

Starts as very close match with a lot of grappling holds and wrestling moves.  MMA comes to the comics.  Then Wonder Woman remembers "I can fly".  She picks Thundra up, flies to edge of the atmosphere and applies the most powerful piledriver ever seen.

Black Widow vs Black Canary.

V&V character creation is too much fun.

Black Widow VS Black Canary.

Two women, one in skin tight leather, the other in fishnets.  I think its the fans that win that one.... Wink

I think Natasha will keep Mrs. Queen on the ropes for a long time.   Nastasha will press her advantage until a very frustrated Canary lets loose with a song that knockes the Russian spy for a loop.

Lets go to Dsumner's pick, which is still unanswered.   Who wins a tech war, Lex Luthor or Tony Stark?

Depuis toujours. Une vie non-épicée est comme un sourire qui ne touches pas les yeux. Vide.

Lex vs Tony:
I see Lex as a schemer where Tony's more of a action oriented man. I know that recent history has changed that and flipped the coins on both counts.

I would see Lex putting up a good fight and not fighting fair, but, in the end, Tony would beat him with better technology and slightly longer ranging plans.

Which version of Wonderman are you referring to? As a full power Capt. Atom would beat the bricks off of the earlier versions of Simon. But, as the years have gone by, Simon's become more powerful.

Captain Atom beats up Wonder Man.   Why?  Captain Atom has Superman level strength and invulnerablity AND he controls all forms of energy.    Put him up against a guy MADE of energy and you have a massacre.
Sorry, but Simon doesn't stand a chance against Nathan.

The Defenders version.

I think with just plain fists, I would have to go with Black Panther.   He can bench press 800 pounds and has enhanced aglity and senses.    It would be a good fight, but I think T'challa would mop the floor with him.   He fought the Fantastic Four to a standstill.   I think people underestimate him.

You've got that right, I don't think people give hime enough credit. Now as far as Nighthawk and MoonKnight go, I'm going to have to go with MoonKnight, as the Defenders version of Nighthawk always came off a little weak to me.

Yeah, I can see Batman coming up with some cool gadget to neutralize T'Challa for a bit, but the BP would win solidly in the end.

Black Panther is another of those characters that - like the Beast and Spider-Man - comes out with hella HP in V&V, due to the fact that he's got really good Basic Characteristics across the board - Strength, Endurance, Agility, Intelligence (and even Charisma, though it doesn't factor into HP).
