Fights you want to see.

Capt. America (Steve Rogers) vs. classic Deathstroke: The Terminator (Slade Wilson) (when these guys were in their prime, they were basically the ultimate human fighting machines. This comic would rock.

The 80's Avengers vs. pre-COIE Brainiac (the robot version and his skull ship) and Lex Luthor (in his power armor). Drawn by George Perez of course.  Cool

Darkseid vs. an Infinity Gauntlet welding Thanos.

Batman vs. Taskmaster

Bullseye vs. Deadshot

Batman vs. Kingpin - Not necessarily a man-to-man fight, but a battle of wits over a limited series.

Gen 13 vs. the Hellions team from the 80's version of the New Mutants.

Adrian Chase.  And for the record,  he goes down like a brick if faced off agaisnt that mad man Frank Castle.  Anyone read the MAX series?   Castle is one of the best fighters in the comic book universe.  I think Batman would be toasted by Frank.

While I've seen the MAX version of Frank, I'd like to see the classic version of him going up against Adrian. And I still have bats beating the bricks off Frank any day of the week. Bats and Daredevil would be an interesting fight though.

I think Captain America would beat Deathstroke.  Not at first.  First Slade would beat Steve seven ways to Sunday.  Then Cap would make it his mission to take him down.  When it comes to planning,  Batman is the only one that comes close to Cap.

Darkseid vs Thanos.  I call Darkseid for two reasons.
A.  Thanos is the universes biggest maschocist.  He loves to be beat.  The easier it is for him to win, the more he sabotauges himself.

B.  Darkseid, while he has lost a few battles, is still fighting the same war.  I really think that Darkseid is some dark shepard, leading his flock ( ei everyone) towards some sinister end.  He shows up when they stray to far from his scheme, and goads them back to his path.  If it  means he takes a beating inorder to do so, its cool with him.  He knows that some day he will have his anti life equations, so its ok what happens in the short term.

The Avengers vs Braniac Luther?   Just think of this as  The Avengers vs Korvac and Ultron.  This is a tough one.  I have to think.

Bullseye vs Deadshot.   I think Deadshot would have the upper hand until he realised that this was his ticket out.  Then Bullseye would pick up a spend casing from Deadshot's guns and throw it through his eyesocket, killing him.  Bringing them both  pleasure.

Batman vs Kingpin in a long term campaign?   I would have to say Bruce, why?  deeper pockets.   With Bruce's contacts,  fame, money, and legit buisness skills added to  Batman's ruthless fighting,   Fatty would find that he is not up against a blind man with a stick or a goofy newspaper reporter, but a guy with access to every superheroe database, plus government agencies, and Oracle's ablity to wipe Kingpin's bank acounts out.   This would be funny, watching Kingpin reduced to a skinnyguy delievering pizza for cash.

Gen 13?  a bunch of horny teenagers who are too busy trying to feel each other up vs a bunch of well trained fighters that would kill you unless commanded not to?   C'mon...

To tell the truth,  I have no comics with the Punisher and the Kingpin.  He is never mentioned in the max series. I never picked him up until Garth Ennis took over.    It makes sense they would fight.  Did Frank ever shoot him?

You've have to go digging in the discount bins to find anything I'm talking about. Way back in the 80's Frank went after the Kingpin and his cronies. I don't recall him ever shooting him though.

I am and always have been of a mind that as powerful as Darkseid is... and as usually more powerful DC chara are compared to Marvel ones, that...

Galactus is the exception.
I think Galactus would literally WHIP on Darkseid... once he was through playing with him... figuring out what it is he is trying to accomplish or his motive...

Worse thing I believe that Darkseid could do would be to in some manner be consumed by Galactus (his power consumed... not literally him, with tartar sauce!) and in some way corrupt Galactus with some sort of cosmic mumbo jumbo essence thing.

Otherwise Galactus destroys him... eats Apocalypse... Then gets utterly beaten by Buried Alien... LOL

The SHIELD Nick Fury, or the Howling Commandos Nick Fury? Because Sgt Rock and Easy Company would mop the floor with the Howling Commandos (well maybe Nick and Dum Dum would stand a fighting chance Cheesy ).

Here's a few more.

Lex Luthor vs. Iron Man. Two brilliant billionaires, with boat loads of high-tech goodies. Let the fight begin!

Ok, I am reviving this thread,  but here are the rules;   you pick a person or person to go at it,  the next person has to respond to it THEN they get to pick a new battle.  Go it?

Starts as very close match with a lot of grappling holds and wrestling moves.  MMA comes to the comics.  Then Wonder Woman remembers "I can fly".  She picks Thundra up, flies to edge of the atmosphere and applies the most powerful piledriver ever seen.

Black Widow vs Black Canary.

V&V character creation is too much fun.

Black Widow VS Black Canary.

Two women, one in skin tight leather, the other in fishnets.  I think its the fans that win that one.... Wink

I think Natasha will keep Mrs. Queen on the ropes for a long time.   Nastasha will press her advantage until a very frustrated Canary lets loose with a song that knockes the Russian spy for a loop.

Lets go to Dsumner's pick, which is still unanswered.   Who wins a tech war, Lex Luthor or Tony Stark?

Depuis toujours. Une vie non-épicée est comme un sourire qui ne touches pas les yeux. Vide.

Lex vs Tony:
I see Lex as a schemer where Tony's more of a action oriented man. I know that recent history has changed that and flipped the coins on both counts.

I would see Lex putting up a good fight and not fighting fair, but, in the end, Tony would beat him with better technology and slightly longer ranging plans.

Which version of Wonderman are you referring to? As a full power Capt. Atom would beat the bricks off of the earlier versions of Simon. But, as the years have gone by, Simon's become more powerful.

Captain Atom beats up Wonder Man.   Why?  Captain Atom has Superman level strength and invulnerablity AND he controls all forms of energy.    Put him up against a guy MADE of energy and you have a massacre.
Sorry, but Simon doesn't stand a chance against Nathan.

The Defenders version.

I think with just plain fists, I would have to go with Black Panther.   He can bench press 800 pounds and has enhanced aglity and senses.    It would be a good fight, but I think T'challa would mop the floor with him.   He fought the Fantastic Four to a standstill.   I think people underestimate him.

You've got that right, I don't think people give hime enough credit. Now as far as Nighthawk and MoonKnight go, I'm going to have to go with MoonKnight, as the Defenders version of Nighthawk always came off a little weak to me.

Yeah, I can see Batman coming up with some cool gadget to neutralize T'Challa for a bit, but the BP would win solidly in the end.

Black Panther is another of those characters that - like the Beast and Spider-Man - comes out with hella HP in V&V, due to the fact that he's got really good Basic Characteristics across the board - Strength, Endurance, Agility, Intelligence (and even Charisma, though it doesn't factor into HP).

Other than make an exciting 80 page giant ( the only formate that can handle this battle) I don't see Thanos coming off to well here.
Superman going toe to toe with the Mad Titan, while Wonder Woman tries to hold him back with her lasso,  Martian Manhunter uses telepathy to reveal that he secretly WANTS to be defeated ( its true, that is is weakness!) Batman finds his lover Death and brings her to the fight and she explains that she has embraced Superman, Batman, and even Wonder Woman, but not Thanos.  This demoralised him,  leaving him open for that onslaught of punches from Aquaman,  Superman and Wonder Woman while Martian Manhunter deleviers the mental coup de grace.

I'd give this one to the JLA. But, it also depends on who's writing the story, as Magneto's power levels seem to fluctuate depending on who's writing him at the time.

Ok  time to bump this up as its a fun thread.

Batman vs Ben Grim, the ever lovin' blue eyed Thing.

Here are two senarios:

they bump into each other on the street, no prep time.

And four months later, after the the first fight.  Bats has time to plan.

And please, explain your thinking, no one word answers.

Bats vs Ben?

No prep time, would basically break down to a battle of attrition. Bruce would realize he cant hurt Grimm and would move around/avoid getting clobbered. Ben would get tired of that and up the stakes. He can use ground-pounding attacks and/or objects like lamp posts and parked cars.

It would come down to who would leave so civilians didn't get hurt.

After prep Time: Bruce would learn that Ben has the same organs we do,like lungs and ears and would design gadgets like sleep pellets or sonic things to bring Ol' Blue Eyes down

Lex Corp Battlesuit vs. Ironman Armour (I missed out on this one).

In the classic versions of these charatcers, Tony wins out every time. In more modern versions however, Lex would win 9/10 times

(1) Lex's suit can go toe to toe with Superman for a limited time and is powered by a nigh in-exhaustable power source. Tony always has to play a defensive battle against Thor, and has always been plagued with power issues.

(2) Until quite recently, Tony had to fund and create his armors in secret, ensuring that "Ironman" remained cutting edge by both hording his best technical advancements and keeping his private holdings, private (Armor Wars).
Lex creates his battlesuits for private industry, the military, ect. It's nothing to see a fleet of Lex Corp suits bringing down a villain just to secure a favour from some politician.

(3) Lex is a very powerful villain who is viewed by most of the populace as a hero.
Ironman with his Tony Stark identity revealed, has been pardoned all previous crimes, but nobody really knows if they can trust him anymore.

At best - Lex would wear Tony down, at worst - Lex would cheat

Batman Vs. Black Panther (while I would love to see T'challa kick Bruce's ass)

(1) Straight fight Black Panther simply overwhelm's Batman.
Eliminating the fact that they're both masters of stealth.
Black Panther has enhanced senses and stats, plus his
     costume.

(2) Problem is T'Challa's nobility and very public identity. If this fight happened in a DC title, Batman would win simply because he would be able to locate him at the most inconvenient time for the Panther. If the Panther enters Gotham discretely he has no allies, if he openly enters Gotham he becomes an instant dignitary with the press following his every move.

Don't follow.

What difference does it make if Panther has allies or not in Gotham. Isn't this about a straight out fight between them?

Panther can hide in shadows anyway and could dodge the press. But since there is no Wakanda in the DC Universe, I don't think the politics matter much. What's important is who would beat the other guy in a general fight, not who is most famous.

I'm glad you think Panther would win--if only because I am so glad there is at least someone else out there who doesn't argue that Batman can beat everything all the time.

The classic 1970s-1980s Timberwolf. You know, the guy with the funky hair before Wolverine ripped it off? The Timberwolf who wore the brown costume before Wolverine temporarily ripped it off (after fighting Timberwolf counterpart Fang).

Let's say Timberwolf doesn't use the Legion flight ring in the fight.

Hey Mike
Like I said, in a straight fight Black Panther wins.
I was more commenting on the fact that somebody would have to write an intro to this fight if it was a comic:

T'challa comes to Gotham to hold seminars on urban crime, the squalor of the ghettos, the plight on young black people in America. The fact that Wakanda does not exist in DC would be worked around.

Also, to be true to the characters, when's the last time you saw Batman not press every advantage, moral and immoral to win a fight. I was suggesting that a fair fight between the two was highly unlikely.

Wolverine Vs. Timberwolf would be an interesting fight:

Wolverine has his claws, regeneration, adamantium bones and the advantage of experience. Timberwolf would probably come across as being Wolverine junior, but even ignoring the Legion gear at his disposal, Timberwolf has a measure of super-speed and claws and I can't help thinking he'd shred Wolverine to pieces.

Daredevil vs. Batman's foes
I have to think Daredevil would be very hard pressed against Batman's foes. The criminal elite (Penguin / Joker / Riddler types) would be pretty standard.
But imagine all the villains that would screw up his heightened senses leaving him virtually blind. Imagine fighting Croc in the confines of the sewers, or Poison Ivy in the gardens. Scarecrow's fear toxins affect the mind, so even if his radar sense told him it wasn't tangible he'd still have to convince himself.
I would really love to see this one as Daredevil only has a few memorable villains of his own.

Hawksmoor (Wildstorm) vs Batman in Gotham! Hawksmoor is the man who can talk to cities and cities do his bidding, but on Batman's home turf how would that fly. Is Gotham an insane gibbering city after all that has happened to it and how will that effect Hawksmoor?

Black Banther vs. Timberwolf !!!!

  Not sure.
This is a very hard choice, they fill the same niches on their respective teams, have similar abilities, appear to fight on or around the same power level. This is going to sound like a cop-out but I think this comes down to this:
If Timberwolf goes wild, Panther out-prowess' Timberwolf.
If Timberwolf keeps his cool, He out-strength's Panther.

I don't think that sounds at all like a cop out. It's a fair and reasonable response. Thanks!

Mr. Fantastic takes down Ralph easily, as Reed uses his intelligence to gain the upper hand.

Green Arrow vs. Hawkeye. - I'd have to call a draw on that one, if it were strictly a contest of skills with the bow.

Power Girl beats Ms. Marvel to a pulp, as they're not even on the same playing field, when it comes to power levels.

Zatanna's magic is far more versatile than Crystal's control over the elements, so I'd have to give it to her.

Thanks for the great replies.

Here are some more vs. challenges:

Tempest (Aqualad) vs. Triton of the Inhumans

Hawkgirl vs. Medusa of the Inhumans

Green Lantern vs. Dr. Strange

GLs, Hal and Kyle would take a pounding, Guy would die of embarassment being locked in by crimson bands of cyttorak.
(Paralax, however would make an excellent opponent for Doctor Strange)

Starfire of the Titans vs. Storm of the X-Men

Can't answer that as I hate the "Classic X-men"

Batman vs. Karnak of the Inhumans

Wow, you really want to see Batman take a pounding - Karnak destroys the Dark Knight with one blow, Bane stares in complete disbelief, then goes home and cries himself to sleep.

Tempest (Aqualad) vs. Triton of the Inhumans

I'd have to say Tempest has the upper hand with his ability to really mess with fish and fish related beings, unless of course they've retconned this ability out

Hawkgirl vs. Medusa of the Inhumans

Don't really know much about Medusa, sorry.

Have to agree with Dsumner on this one...
Unless Black Canary happened to walk by. Then Clint would stop to put the moves on her and Ollie would get his rage on and sucker punch Clint.
  Just kidding.

If I understand this thread correctly, I get to pick now.

Azreal Vs. Moon Knight

(Two mentally challenged, religiously empowered, street level vigilantes.)

Superman Vs. Hyperion (Squadron supreme version)
(Classic DC vs Marvel)

Medusa beats Hawgirl down.    Unless Hawkgirl is smart enough to stay with ranged weapons.  But if she tries to swoop in with a mace or something,  Medusa will grab her, pin her and make mincemeat of her.

I like Hyperion a lot. He's meaner than Superman. But even at his weakest, Superman is much stronger than Hyperion and would win.

Any takers on my earliest challenge:

Green Lantern vs. Dr. Strange

How about these ones too:

Martian Manhunter vs. Vision

Wonder Woman vs. Thor

Perry White vs. J. Jonah Jameson

Joker vs. Hobgoblin

Lex Luther vs. Kingpin

Black Lightning vs. Human Torch

Black Canary vs. Black Widow

Green Lantern vs Dr. Strange.

At first,  Green Lantern would have Dr. Strange on the ropes.  But after a scan by the Eye of Agamatto,  Strange would realise that a Green Lantern's strength is based on their will power.   Using the images of ikkon to cause distracting illusions,  Strange could then summon the Fumes of Falazar to sap their will.   The Green Lantern's constructs will lose their potentcy, causeing the Lantern to be enveloped by the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak.

Either that or he blasts them with a yellow blast.   Same effect.

Ra's A Ghul Vs Daredevil-

Ra's would hire Matt Murdock to defend him in court, but only to get to know him.    Then some of his assassin henchmen would attack, and Ra's would see Matt in action.   Only after Murdock took out a team of killers would Ra's then issue the challenge.  Figuring out how to overpower his senses,  Daredevil would be on the ropes.  Pushing Matt to his limite,  Ra's would goad Daredevil into killing him.   Daredevil would have to stab Ghul to win a very deadly match.    Daredevil would beat himself up with guilt, while  Ra's henchmen would steal his corpse and bring him back with a Lazarus Pit.      Ghul then know he won a moral victory and has a man who he knows would kill  when he was needed to do so...

After reading your description of the Daredevil vs. The Demons Head I have a few things to say.

Great story! The kind of stuff I like in my games as a GM and see too little as a player. I want my GM to be that kind of devious thinker, makes me work on thinking at my side of the table

No contest really.

Cosmic powered Warlock cleans the Attillian leaders clock, while Soul Gem Adam takes it on the chin after a decent but predetermined fight.

My turn ...

Nightwing versus the Winter Soldier Undecided

and as a bonus ...

Karate Kid versus Iron Fist  Roll Eyes

I would have to go with the Winter Soldier over Nightwing.  True, Grayson is more agile.  BUT try doging a handgrenade, boy wonder!

Karate Kid vs Iron Fist.  After about 28 pages of back to back punches, flips and counter movies,  Danny summons his chi, just as Voltron whips out his sword, and smashes the poor legionaire back to  Takron Galtos.

The Atom!!

He pulls out the savage Atom costume. While Hank Pym covers his eyes in disgust, Atom smites him with his sword.

With everyone's permission, Instead of comic companies versus each other I want to make the next RPGs against each other.

Dr. Apocalypse vs Dr Destroyer

and

Enforcer vs Marksman

Given time to prepare I'm going with Doctor Apocalypse. Doc A has the advantage of a very flexible power set and owns some of the coolest robots this side of a Latverian dictator. Plus Doc A has less "issues" to deal with. Not that he's not nuts in his own way, but I dont see it effecting his combat ability like it might Doc D.

Someone else is going to have to do Marksman. I honestly forget his skill/power set - I bet Enforcer gets tougher in V&V 3.0 though  Wink

I haven't looked a Champions much since 3e came out so here is my take with the Eurostar I know.

Eurostar vs Destroyers ----->Winner

Fiacho - Annihilator-------->Annihilator
Durak - Behemoth--------->Behemoth
Bora - Shapeshifter-------->Shapeshifter
Pantera - Ratman---------->Pantera
Le_Sone - Electrocutioner-->Le_Sone
Mentalla - Iron Maiden----->Mentalla

2ND ROUND
Mentalla - Annihilator------>Mentalla
Pantera - Shapeshifter---->Shapeshifter
Le_Sone - Behemoth------>Behemoth

3rD Round
Mentalla - Behemoth
            - Shapeshifter---->Shapeshifter

Winner
Destroyers

Yes, based on purely biased and unfair analysis, The Destroyers would win.

I declare my V&V love proudly and loudly.

Interesting match ups, as I would have had it go down a little differently.

Whoops...missed your reply. I'd say something like this.

Fiacho - Shapeshifter
Durak - Behemoth
Bora - (Before going after White Flame)
Pantera - Ratman
Le_Sone - ?
The Whip - Iron Maiden
Mentalla - Electrocutioner (as he seems to like to go after women)
White Flame - Annihilator

Yeah, I agree.  Great video (and really well done), but Superman would probably own the Hulk.

To make it more even, they'd have to have the battle in the middle of a crowded city, where Supes would be just as concerned for the innocent bystanders.

I see Doom mopping the floor with Luthor.   Doom just has that much raw power, while Luthor is more of a schemer.
Doom is a scientist, a sorceror and has the power of Iron Man to back both that up.  He has access to Demonic knowledge and a nation of supporters.
Luthor is no slouch, but he given time, could be a major thorn in Doom's side, but when the chips come down to it,  Doom has so many ways to take out Luthor that  he doesn't stand a chance.

Superman could take out the Fantastic Four in four seconds.  The Thing couldn't hit hurt him, and is two slow to land many punches.   The Human Torch couldn't burn him without going nova, which would take himself out of the fight, and what good is stretching going to do to Superman?
The only one who could stop him for a time is the Invisible Woman, but would soon succumb to Superman's pounding on her shields.
However,  Superman is too  good to finish them off, so  the defeated team would lick their wounds,  Reed would go off an sequester himself until he figured out Superman's weakness to  specific radiations and then  Superman is history.

I am scary, very, very scary.

Doom destroys Luthor. Lex is only alive because he doesn't give ruthless individuals like Doom a reason to knock him off.

Nice call on the Supes vs FF fight including Reed winning in a rematch.

(Elektra and Black Bolt easy imo)

I love Dom's challenges and have my ideas, but I believe it's someone else's turn Smiley

Let's say the Watchmen had to fight the X-Men of the late 1970s (during the Hellfire Club story arch). Who wins in each of these super-fights?

WATCHMEN VS. X-MEN
1. Comedian vs. Colossus
2. Rorschach vs. Wolverine
3. Night Owl II vs Nightcrawler
4. Silk Spectre II vs. Storm
5. Ozymandias vs. Cyclops
6. Dr. Manhattan vs. Phoenix

Next up, lets pin the Watchmen against Professor X and the original New Mutants? Who wins in each of these fights?

WATCHMEN VS. NEW MUTANTS
1. Comedian vs. Sunspot
2. Rorschach vs. Wolvesbane
3. Night Owl II vs Cannonball
4. Silk Spectre II vs. Psyche/Dani Moonstar
5. Ozymandias vs. Karma
6. Dr. Manhattan vs. Professor X

Better opponent for Dr. Manhattan is The Beyonder.  That's pretty much where they put him in power level.

Yeah, you need to mix it up, otherwise Hercules is going to fall pretty easily to Rex turning into knockout gas.  He's strong, but not the brightest bulb.

And keep in mind that no one said that every head-to-head fight is going to be an even match.

All Avenger except Kid-Flash, Starfire, maybe Raven.

(Speedy would have a chance as he gets older but not in this match up)

Are we talking a "classic" Avengers lineup? If so, then as much as I love me some Titans, the Avengers would take this one.

For more fun, who wins when the New Teen Titans battle a truckload of the Defenders? Who wins in each of these battles?

2. Wonder Girl vs. Valkyrie

3. Kid Flash vs. Hellcat

4. Starfire vs. Silver Surfer

5. Raven vs. Dr. Strange

6. Cyborg vs. Sub-Mariner

Once again, as much as I love me some Titans, the Defenders are a pretty damned powerful group. The hulk alone, especially when he's got his mad on, could give the entire Justice League a run for their money, so with the exception of Nightwing vs. Nighthawk, and Kid Flash vs. Hellcat, the Defenders easily take this one.

5. Aquaman vs. Scarlet Witch

6. Green Lantern vs. Ironman

Normally I'd side with the JLA on this, namely because the sheer number of heavy hitters in their lineup. But thanks to you tossing the Scarlet Witch into the mix, that changes everything, as she could just "wish" the JLA out of existence, with three little words, "No more JLA." Poof, end of story.

Fair enough. In that case, try this: The original seven members of the Justice League vs. the seven core Inhumans. Who would win in each of these head-to-head skirmishes!

1. Superman vs. Blackbolt

2. Wonder Woman vs. Medusa

3. Flash vs. Gorgon

4. Batman vs. Karnak

5. Aquaman vs. Triton

6. Crystal vs. Green Lantern

7. Lockjaw vs. Martian Manhunter

1) Hulk (Smash)
2) Thor (magic Hammer)
3) Captain America (no shield, no belt for bats)
4) Wonder Woman (hey ... it's WW)
5) Scarlet Witch (hey ... it's witchy Smiley)
6) Iron Man (in his "golden armor")
7) Flash ("fastest man alive" enuff said)
8) Hawkeye (toss up really I just like Clint more)
9) Giant Man (doesnt go as far but does it better)
10) Jones (really? finger snapping ... please)

I don't get the second set ... JLA all the way not even close  Cheesy

Anyone notice how Marvel's "smart" heroes are always more interesting than DC ... or maybe it's just me  Undecided

I am more of a fan of Marvel than DC (I admit I buy only Supes and JLA titles lately) but I love them both they both have characters with depth and it depends on the writers of any given arc whether I like them or not. That said here are my pics and why

1 Manhunter vs Hulk : John would win eventually due to his mental powers and shapeshifting over a green rage Hulk sorry
2 Superman vs Thor : Tough one, but in the Avengers/JLA crossover, we found out that Clark is worthy of wielding Mjlonir
3Cap vs the Bat : If Bruce has a few days to plan,he wins. If not it goes to Steve
4Wonder Woman vs The Wasp: Love ya Jan, but Diana is as fast,as strong,as invulnerable as her Kryptonian friend. WW wins
5Aquaman vs Scarlet Witch: Not fair. Like D said "poof"
6Green Lantern vs Iron Man: depends on which lantern and who writes it. Unfortunately for Tony I see willpower over fire power here
7Flash vs Quicksilver: well consider that Barry has the speed force on his side he wins. Wally vs Pietro would be closer
8Green Arrow vs Hawkeye: with weapons I say it's a tie. In hand to hand combat, I gotta go with Hawk, he trains with Cap.
9Atom vs Giant-Man (Hank Pym) I can't even give you a decent guess here lol
10 Snapper Carr vs Rick Jones: I don't knowenough about Snapper's history so let's just say Rick has the Quantum bands and wins this

1. Close call, but I'm going for the Chief in this one.
2. Robotman, but Sandman puts in a decent showing.
3. Negative Man all the way.
4. Elasti-girls as she's a bit more versatile than Medusa.

Part one:
1) That's a tough one!?  Robin (gas pellets)?
2) Marvel Girl.  A lasso is no match for telekinetics.
3) Cyclops (but I think Speedy would give him a good fight)
4) Iceman.  No contest.
5) Kid Flash

On part two I'm not familiar with the Brotherhood:
1) Robin (even if Mystique took him by surprse)
2) Blob

That's as far as I got.  Man, these are pretty cool!

Here are my answers:

1. Green Lantern, although Psyche might momentarily distract him with her fear powers.

2. Flash

3. Black Canary, could probably even win without using her canary scream

4. Aquaman, but it might be a close match if Arthur is dehydrated

5. Wonder Woman, but she acknowledges that Magik puts up a good fight

6. Magma! As the Martian Manhunter's fire weakness gets the better of him

7. Atom

8. Warlock, but this could be close

9. Firestorm. Karma might be able to take control of Ronnie but Stein knocks her out of his head, and then Firestorm wins!

Mostly Justice League, but I could see Wolfsbane beating Black Canary, Sunspot taking out Aquaman, Magma defeating Martian Manhunter (good call on the weakness, Heston!), and I think Warlock would take Red Tornado.

1. Beast Boy vs. Catseye

2. Aqualad vs. Thunderbird (James Proudstar)

3. Speedy vs. Tarot

4. Kid-Flash vs. Jetstream

5. Wonder Girl vs. Roulette

6. Robin (Dick Grayson) vs. Empath

1. Kid Flash
2. Wolvesbane  (Changeling?  Seriously?)
3. Wonder Girl
4. Magik would win, but Raven would succumb to Trigon's influence
5. Magma
6. Robin
7. Cyborg
8. Who's Karma?

On second thought, I might have to say "Changeling" on number two.  He can fly and transform into a gigantic lobster (NTT #20).

I'd have to agree with you on both accounts, especially if the Legion were at its full strength, with Superboy, Supergirl, Mon-El, and Ultraboy all up at bat.

How on earth would Bouncing Boy beat someone who can move at the speed of light, maybe even faster? Is Kid Flash already unconsciousn or asleep in this scenario?

It's just a guy instinct and you have to remember my Kid Flash is pre-Perez/Wolfman Smiley In those days Bouncing Boy always seemed to be getting some good licks and finishing off guys at the end of fights and Kid Flash seemed to get knocked down or out by guy without super-speed all the time. Like I said gut instinct Wink

Cool @John - Brother I'll back Elric seven days a week and twice on Sunday but I imagine we both get our butt kicked eight out of seven days by the big bad StarGod Sad

Well, if we're basing it on how they're written, then sure Kid Flash loses. Somehow it never occurs to him to use his godlike powers so he just stands around a lot and gets knocked out by anyone with a hard object to beat against the back of his head.

Green Lantern should lose to everyone, too. He never seems to come up with anything but a big green boxing glove. God forbid he use any ingenuity to get around that yellow weakness, like using the ring to scoop dirt or mud or something to coat over the yellow.

A pretty good fight would be Captain America vs. Batman. Probably already been done on this thread.

Read that "Avengers meet the JLA" comic book a while back and was merely annoyed by (1) "We're evenly matched!" and (2) the cop out where they stop fighting and team up. Nice art, though.

I know who would win if I wrote it!

I don't see much TV...generally have time for a 1/2-hour sitcom after kids go to bed, sometimes get to see an hourlong drama on weekends if they nap...never seen Supernatural, or heard of it! I think I got it mixed up with Smallville, of which I saw maybe 1 or 2 episodes hoping it had more going for it than Kristin Kreuk's eyes.

Is Supernatural currently on the air?

Yes, I think its on Season 9.    But.. if you are interested, you should start at the beginning as its one long story, like Buffy.  It starts off weak, but it picks up.

I really like it cause it goes from sad, scary and hilarious episode to episode.  I makes fun of itself, and it ties all its plots together.

All the writers are comic book fans and they drop many references that I have to explain to  my wife from time to time.

Quick tell SyFy!  Its their newest hit!

And I agree,  Stormbringer would slake himself on Chthulu and then the evil blade become all powerful and  corrupt Elric ( who should never have been listed as Chaotic Evil in the Deities and Demigods) and they destroy Law, and with it, the world.

Love those Chuck Finley cover IDs. Sam Axe was my favorite character, followed by latecomer Jesse Porter.

And of course I have had a crush on Gabrielle Anwar since "Scent of a Woman."

Here's one that I think would be interesting. The classic 60's Fantastic Four (that means no Force Field for Sue) vs. the original Doom Patrol (the Chief, Robot Man, Elasti-Girl, and Negative Man).

Silver Age Pa Kent (before he died) vs. Peter Parker's dear ol' Uncle Ben (before he died)

Ma Kent over Aunt May.   A farmer sure beats a woman who sits and knits.

Pa Kent.  Uncle  Ben was cool, but he got taken out after only a few panels.

Once again, DC power-levels outclass Marvel's!   Grin
