Just wanted to introduce myself. I originally bought the V&V boxed set when I was in high school from a local gaming store that has been closed for a long long time now. A couple of years ago I decided to run a game of V&V for a charity event and I had so much fun that it has been a constant itch at the back of my mind to get a campaign running. Well I finally started a campaign and so far have five players. We have had one session so far in which we rolled up characters and got into the first adventure hook. I am looking forward to the trials and tribulations of this campaign. I will be floating around the boards for awhile checking things out and will probably post game reports every so often. I would love some feedback as things get rolling.

Yep, got it in one!
Though his later work is not nearly as good as the early stuff.

Drosta lek Thun. Nice to meet you. Loved all the first series' including some of the Sparhawk stuff. Belgariad and Mallorean were awesome and so was his single book Redemption of Althalus. I never bothered to read the newer stuff like the Dreamers.

Love Eddings and Feist.

If anyone is interested in seeing what I have come up with so far (it's not much mind you) you can check it out on Obsidian Portal. It's my first time using the site but it seems pretty cool for keeping track of the campaign. Most of my players have at least started to put their characters up. Heroic Portland is the name of the campaign (so far anyway).

BY the way I am also active on the Dead Games Society's forum. They are going to be running at least one V&V game at GenCon 2010. Anyone else headed to GenCon this year? I may see about doing an unofficial game one evening.

Welcome, Drosta!   Smiley

Keep us posted on your game, as well as anything you hear about this possible game at GenCon.  I've been to many cons, but have never made GenCon; someday I will make it there, I hope.
