The Young Guardians are a group of super powered teens following in the footsteps of their mentors, The Guardians, Earth's primer super team.

Team History

PLACE HOLDER

Membership:

While several members have come and gone, the group's core membership has pretty much remained stable. The group’s current membership consists of the following members:

Will Scarlet - The team's bow welding leader and former sidekick of theHood
Blitz - An African American female super-speedster, and the team's deputy leader.
Cascade - A female mutant with the ability to control water (Hydrokinesis).
Cougar - Granddaughter of the now retired hero of the same name.
Daystar - A Native American heroine with various light based abilities, she's the heroine Bright Star's younger sister.
Eden - A Chinese American female with the ability to control plants.
Furor - The teenage daughter of heroine Minerva, and a mighty warrior in her own might.
Hardcase - A young Native American hero, who was formerly known as Renegade of the teen villain group, the Upstarts. He's the younger brother of the hero Hardpoint.
Nuatica - Amphibious alien princess banished to Earth by her treacherous brother.
Wild Star - An African American male with cosmic energy fueled powers.

The Slingshot - The team's hypersonic VTOL transport aircraft. Designed and built by Avery Aerospace.

Hex - Teen witch, and full time student of the occult.
Firebird - A female human/alien hybrid with the ability to control fire.
Raptor - Hot headed winged warrior, former full time team member, now full-time law student.
Telex - A young African American, with a variety of telekinetic powers.
Turbo - Blitz's older brother. A full time student, and part time hero who helps out the team when needed.

Origin/Background: Will's a bow welding hero, and the Hood's former teen sidekick, who's broken off from his mentor and set out to make his own way in the world. 

Combat Tactics:

Personality/Character Traits: Will's a natural leader type. Level headed, and very analytical, he’s the team’s current leader.

Origin and Background: Lyra is a female amphibious alien humanoid princess, exiled to Earth by her treacherous brother, after he seized power from her during the Shakkari invasion of her home world.

Combat Tactics: Nautica's preferred environment is the water, but she's still a very capable combatant whether it be on land or in the water. She's normally hold an action, giving her time to evaluate her opponent before striking. When she does strike, it's usually in the form of some sort of special attack designed to quickly incapacitate her target. If possible, she'll use her net to restrict their movements before moving in to "finish them off". 

Personality/Character Traits: She has a bit of a superior attitude, due to her royal upbringing, and it tends to rub her teammates the wrong way. She’s having problems trying to adapt Earth‘s to customs, and as a result she tends to come off as being cold and aloof. Will Scarlet has had to reign her in several times as her natural instinct is to finish off opponents quickly and violently.

Origin/Background: Henry's the grandson of the WWII teen hero Winger, the original Condor's teen sidekick. He's taken up the family business of heroing.

Combat Tactics: Raptor normally acts as the team's scout. When engaged in direct combat, he'll normally hold his actions, picking his targets, before diving in, using his momentum to inflict additional damage, while striking at his opponents.

Personality/Character Traits: Gruff, short tempered, and hard headed, he's the team's resident hot head. He's got a bit of a problem with authority. But he's got a good heart, and doesn't like seeing the "little guy" get pushed around.

3. Body Power: Bio-Electrical Field Generation: When moving at super-speed, her body generates and electrical field. It inflicts 1d12 damage on anyone coming in contact with her.

Origin/Background: Blitz is a black female super-speedster, and the daughter of the hero Thunderbolt. In addition to her normal abilities, her body generates a bio-electrical field when she moves at super-speed. The field is strong enough to cause physical damage to objects coming in contact with it.

For as long as she can remember she's wanted to follow in her parent’s footsteps, and become a superhero, no matter how hard her parents have tried to dissuade her. Her father's injuries, and recent retirement, have only made her pursue her goal even harder. Other than Will Scarlet, Blitz has been with the group the longest. Her brother, the sometimes hero Turbo, is also reserve member of the team.

Combat Tactics: Blitz will normally zip in and out of a fight, picking off targets around the edge of the battle, and providing support to anyone who needs it.

Personality/Character Traits: She’s very friendly and personable, and basically she just wants everyone to get along.

Origin/Background: Hardcase is a young Native American, who was formerly known as Renegade (he was previously a member of the teen villain group, the Upstarts) He's the hero Hardpoint’s younger brother.

Combat Tactics: Hardcase doesn't have much in the way of offensive powers, he's primarily a HTH combatant. He will normally wade into the thick of battle, using his natural defenses to protect him from injury. He's no fool, and if he starts to take to much of a beating, he'll retreat.

Personality/Character Traits: He’s hard headed, a bit immature, and tends to run into situations without thinking, as he believes his powers will pretty much protect him from harm. He's bumped heads with Will Scarlet over the way he’s running the team. He refers to Blitz as “Ms. Goodie-two-shoes”, and thinks Nautica is a “stuck up bitch". But, since joining the team, he’s never let them down when it counts.

Origin/Background: The son of two prominent DC lobbyists, he's a young mutant, who's  telekinetic powers manifested when the villain group, the Psions, attempted to capture him.

Personality/Character Traits: Shy, bookish, and a bit introverted, he tends to keep to himself, and his books.

Combat Tactics: Cougar is a hand-to-hand scrapper, and likes to use her speed and agility to her advantage. She likes to move in quick, strike, and rapidly shift position to keep her opponents off balance. She’ll also make good use of terrain such as trees, walls, windows, etc., which will allow her to strike at odd angles for special attacks.

Personality and Character Traits: Bright, idealistic, and good natured, Ashley truly believes in what she’s doing, and will go out of her way to right wrongs. She’ll be the first to stand up and speak out
against anything she sees as unjust.

to recharge his powers, or they will slowly fade away.

Origin and Background: Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Derrick Washington the mutant son of two prominent Washington D.C. lobbyists, whose powers manifested when he was assaulted by members of a street gang.

Combat Tactics: In combat Wildstar likes to be one of the first team members to strike. He’ll usually fly above the battle blasting away with his power blast, taking on any fliers; he’s also quick to challenge anyone who calls him out.

Personality/Character Traits: Derrick is known for being a bit of a hothead, as he tends to be quick-tempered. He’s athletic, and enjoys
sports, but he’s got a bit of a wild streak, and tends to rush into things
without really thinking them through.

1. Mutant Power: Hydrokinesis: Cascade can create and control END x 10 x level feet of water at will. She is capable of creating a jet of high pressure water, or a wave capable of inflicting 1d12 damage. R=END inches, attacks as Force Field. PR = 2 per round to control and costs 1 inch of movement to create or control 1 cubic foot of water. It defends as Vibratory Powers and there is no cost to activate it as a defense.
2. Heightened Defense: -4 to be hit while conscious and mobile.
3. Heightened Senses: She can sense water and anything happening in that water, at a maximum range of C x 100' x level.

Origin and Background: The team's newest member. She's a Chinese-American female from a well to do family. Her parents own a large import/export company operating in the the San Francisco Bay Area

Combat Tactics: Still trying to get a handle on her powers, she tends to spend a lot of her time evading attacks while she works out the best way to make use of her powers.

Personality/Character Traits: A fashionista and party girl with a taste for expensive clothing. She's used to living the good life, and doesn't always take what she does seriously.

Personality/Character Traits: Just a average teen girl, trying to make her way through life. She's still not sure what to make of her new abilities, but is trying hard to do the right thing, and set an example for her siblings.

Origin and Background: Furor is the teenage daughter of the Heroine Minerva and USAF Col. Tevor Scott (Ret.). Furor was cursed before birth by the Sorceress Hecate, one of her mother's long time foes.

Combat Tactics: Furor is a skilled melee combatant, training since early childhood. She prefers to close with her opponents, where she's best able to use her strength to her advantage. She'll normally the most powerful opponent first, hoping to quickly eliminate them.
