V&V Colors

My brother and I used to joke whenever we saw something with a green and purple color scheme that those were "V&V colors".  Partly because the dude on the cover of the 2nd edition rulebook, as well as the general color of the rulebook itself.  Orange is another "V&V color" in that the 2nd Edition boxed set was/is orange, and it was also the color of the dice that came with it.

Does anyone else - consciously or subconsciously - think of green, purple, and orange as the "V&V colors"?

The other day it occured to me that these three colors are the mix you get off of the three primary colors.

The three primary colors are, of course, red, blue, and yellow.

When you mix red and blue you get purple.

red and yellow = orange.

blue and yellow yields green.

So - for whatever reason - V&V didn't go with the primary colors back in the day.  They went just a bit off-center, which seems appropriate, somehow.

Mardi Gras is V&V....  well, sorta. Smiley

Majestic... I'm right there with you on that. Orange and white was it for me... mainly cause of the old graphic logo I guess.
But I could see others too.

And of course, a mint green sky is definitely V&V!  Grin

Orange is definatly a V&V color.  This is due to the dice that came with the boxed set.

Did not think of that myself. But, I can see it now. Great observation by the way.

I have to admit that I never had any attachment to those colours as being V&V colours. Wink

Cheers,
