Okay, I keep hearing good things about this series, and thinking of picking up some trades. Any of you familiar with it, and if so, care to recommend a particular story arc?

Start with the original series... if that doesn't grab you then you won't get grabbed by it later.

The 2 best TPB for Astro City are Confession and The Tarnished Angel.  (I am not including Dark Ages because it is not fully published yet in TPB format)

I would recommend Confession the most if you are going to only buy one.

Get "Life in the Big City" Its the first six issues and some of the best.
