Origin and Background: A Empire City native, Nathan spent four years in the US Air Force, as a Security Forces Airman, before attending college, on the GI Bill, and joining the ECPD as a patrolman. After only two years, he was assigned to a plain clothes crime suppression unit,  where he wracked up an empressive arrest record, before moving over to MCU.

Personality/Character Traits: Intelligent, level headed, and cool under pressure. He's the guy you want next to you when things go bad.

Notes: Det. Jones is a police detective assigned to Empire City's Major Crimes Unit. The unit that specializes in "major events" (terrorist attacks, super-crimes, very high profile cases, etc.). He's been assigned to investigate the Protectors involvement with the events at the Carlyle Bank Building, and the death of reputed mob figure, Mario Leonetti.

Origin and Background: A flame welding alien, Sun Warrior is a Drahn, a once powerful race of warriors, who've now fallen into decline. The few remaining members of the race now scour the galaxy hoping to reclaim their former glory by engaging in battle. He's rumored to be looking for a rematch with Bright Star of the Guardians. 

Combat Tactics/M.O.: In combat, he tends to be very straight forward, using his flame attacks to soften up his opponents, before moving in to finish them off with HTH attacks.

Personality/Character Traits: Sexist, opinionated, and condiscending to women and those he feels are inferior. He tends to hold women in contempt, and doesn't like to have his very strongly held belief's challenged. On the other hand he has a very stong code of honor, and once his word is given, he will not break it, as it would dishonor him.

*Note II*: Her older brother Kirk is named after Capt. Kirk of Star Trek, as her father was a huge fan of the show, and felt that the name sounded more "American".

Origin and Background:Halflife, Atomix, and Radian are all the by product of an accident at Owl Creek Nuclear Power Station. The three of them were engaged in a break in attempt, when they were exposed to what should have been a deadly dose of radiation. Instead, they were granted super powers, and they've been a thorn in the side of the Guardians, and their allies, ever since.

Quick Note: Unknown to all, Halflife's powers are slowly killing him.

Commander James Dunham

Commander James Dunham, is a highly decorated firefighter and Paramedic, with extensive experience in urban rescue/recovery operations. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief, Empire  City Dept. of Emergency Services.

A  widower, single parent, and father of one daughter, Dunham's wife, Susan Dunham, was accidently killed in a street battle between the Guardians and members villain group, the Dominators, leaving him to raise his daughter on his alone. While an inquiry cleared the Guardians of any wrongdoing, he's harbored a deep seated resentment toward superbeings since that time, especially members of he hero community, as he sees them as being reckless, with little concern for what their actions have on the general public.

Dunham cares deeply for his daughter, and tries his best to look out for her. Even though he has her best interests at heart, he can sometimes be a bit overbearing.
