The Files section of the V&V Yahoo group now contains a PDF of the one and only issue of VIGIL, a V&V fanzine created by Colin Longcore from the halycon days of 1986. Thanks to Ken Cliffe for scanning it! It features the original stats for Gauntlet AND his origin story!

And a hilarious cartoon Jeff drew on page 12 of the PDF...Smiley

I know, I thought that guy was called Foxbat, too.  But people keep calling him Crusader.    Huh

Gotcha.  I know Foxbat was often played for comedic effect.  Seemed to be something of a 'spokesman' for the line for many years as well.

Yea, the artist was Mark Williams for the early Champs stuff and most of his characters looked the same, unfortunately

The Force Field rules in Jeff Dee's Column is wonderful.  I think I will be using that for now on.

I like the rule about sonic abilities defense. I'm using that.
