Shout out to Lord Inar

I got a PM from Lord Inar a few weeks back.  He said he remembered me saying that I didn't have a copy of V&V 1st edition.    I confirmed that not only did I not have that, but I gave up looking for it.  I was ok with knowing that that would be the only V&V product I didn't own.
He said he would mail me a copy, and I was estactic.   So I went to the post office yesterday and picked it up.  Its in good condition and everything!

So I wanted to say thanks to him and to let eveyone know what a cool guy he is!

Now to read it, and see what the main differences are!

Thanks!

I am scary, very, very scary.

I definitely prefer revised over first edition.  I would be willing to give up my copy of 1st, except for my collector / completist nature.

Thanks John!

I found that copy at a great game/book/record store called Black and Read in Colorado.

I just knew that the man who runs the best V&V message board around should not have an incomplete collection and the opportunity to rectify that just fell in my lap, so to speak.

It's great to have for fun!

I give Lord I. the HERO award for buying a copy for John. It's nice to see an action that is heroic (i.e. good) instead of villainous or even purely an act of vigilanteeism.

The game was in the Dark Ages for 23 years. Now it's in the Renaissance.

And in another 15 years or so it will be in the Victorian Industrial Era. When this happens we can put on our dirty scarves and woolen caps and walk around saying all sorts of Charles Dickens like things, such as "Please sir, please don't grind me V&V books into porridge, I'll filch another dice bag for you..."

Some players can actually be kind of like Olver Twist, with a twist: "Please, sir. May I have some more powers?"

Or like Tiny Tim, who might die if the Scrooge GM doesn't give Bob Crachet a raise (in some of his ability scores).
