Alpha Flight 0.1

Here's a preview of the upcoming new Alpha Flight mini-series - http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=31944

While I'd love to see Alpha Flight return (as long as it's done "right"), I'm wondering where Puck is, and I'm also not to keen on the "evil government" plot line, as I'm tired of seeing governments portrayed as evil. I'd be a nice change of pace to see a government out to help it's population and support the heroes.

I totally agree about the government angle.

Strange to see Marina over Puck as well.

I'm not sure why she's there, as Puck was with the team much longer than she was. But, from what I understand, she's getting a major makeover for this series. While I'm thinking about it, I'd also like to see the return of a few other characters, namely Talisman, Madison Jeffries/box, and Diamond Lil, as I liked them.

I'm a bit of the hack anti-govt storylines myself. Remember the days when Hammer. Cross, and Brand Corp-Industries were a major resource for bad guy plot devices?

Bring back (non-demonic) Puck

I loved that back in the 70's and 80's  every other issue a senator was found out to be a supervillian or a supervillain's thrall.   Its a wonder the government didn't collapse in the Marvel Universe as there were no "good" guys in government.

Well, it was a long time ago that they were connected. I think later on the two split, but at one point, they were part of the same corporation. They were the Haliburton of Marvel Comics  Tongue

Actually, isn't the other way around. Brand is subsidiary of Roxxon Energy (it's been a minute, so I'd have to look it up).

I hope they bring back the non demonic Puck as well. Alpha was the book I bought the most behind Cap and the Avengers. Even after Byrne left the book it was in my top 3

I hated the demonic Puck, as it seemed to come out of left field. I enjoyed him better when he was just a well trained acrobatic tough guy.

Yeah, I'll agree with you on Puck. He was better before they started mucking around with him.

Yup they ruined one of the coolest characters.  He was great as  midgit acrobat.   That was all you needed.

They messed up Alpha Flight period. I'm hoping that this mini-series corrects some of the silly stuff they've done with the team.

I'm hoping they hurry up and get the "evil government" plot out of the way, and we get some decent villains for them to fight.
