WECN is reporting that scientists at the ECU observatory are tracking  several meteors, as they enter Earth's orbit. If their predictions are correct, viewers looking toward the Northwest, later tonight, should have an unobstructed view of the shower.

Also, ECPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the body of a young female found dead, early this morning. The unidentified female's nude body was found in the early morning hours, under an overpass, by a homeless man. She's described as being a white female, 18-21 years of age, in good health, with a small tattoo of teddy bear, on her lower back. If anyone has information, please call the ECPD tip line at 1-888-123-9999.

Any idea on how she was killed? Would canvasing the local tatoo shops provide any answers? was she killed in the location or was her body just dumped there?

I'd love to find out about the murder of the young woman... but I figure Thunderbolt can't be everywhere.  Did the Meteor fall somewhere nearby that a person able to fly at over 200 mph could reach in a reasonably short amount of time?  thunderbolt would definitely go have a look see at what fell from the sky!

Wish there was a separate thread for both... "Meteor Fall", and "Mysterious Murder"... so we could do some posting RP in character.

So much I'd like to do with TB but threads move slowly.  Wish we were all in the same city co we could do like a Friday night sit-down game of this {sigh!}

If were all in a sit down game, things would be moving at a MUCH faster pass, as we could get together at least every other week. for several hours at a pop.

WECN Reporter Josh Myers

"ECPD is reportedly following up on the discovery of the nude body of a second young female, in as many days. While police aren't releasing much information, an anonymous source within EPCD Major Crimes Unit, is confirming that MCU is investigating both cases. While our source was unwilling to speculate as to the exact cause of the young girl's death, they were willing to state that it appears as though she was killed in the same manner as the 1st victim.

Why MCU, as detectives from this specialized unit, normally deal with organized crime, terrorism, and crimes involving superhumans, is involved in what would normally be a homicide case is unknown at this time. WECN will continue to monitor the situation for any breaking news. "

When can we start investigating this stuff?

I know Protectors is on a blog... but I'd much rather have a post/forum venue' easier to correct errors and make the post be more animate... with color, size changes, Italics, and bold print.

Just Sayian...

WECN News at Six

"Topping the news, WECN has learned that the body of a third young girl has been discovered early this morning, by members of the ECPD. While police aren't releasing any information as to her cause of death, unnamed sources within in the ECPD are confirming that the girl was apparently killed in the same fashion as the two previous victims.

While the ECPD won't comment on the matter, several community leaders, including the outspoken Rev. Jeremiah Franklin, are planning on asking a number of hard questions at tomorrow evening's city counsel meeting, as to what the ECPD is doing to catch what some are begging to say is a possible serial killer.

Stay tuned to WECN for breaking news."

Not that it matters, considering the pace we are at but Thunderbolt would start investigating these murders... his little sister Sarah is about the age of these young female victims... and its obvious there is some serial killer at work that the police seem unable to track down.  Plus, the 'super-secrecy' about the nature of the murders and why MCU is investigating simple homicides means to Shawn... its not just simple homicide.

Shawn still has no idea about Sarah's powers.

Dom,  Is this the same town from the Blog?  I believe it was Jonesville there, or are they close towns?  I've been speaking of it as Jonesville, so I want to get it right before I respond with direction.

Just to clarify things, Thomasville and Jonesville are with a few miles of each other, and are in the same general area as the meteors. They're both small towns with roughly 1500-2000 people living within the city limits.

Mass Shooting at Government Research Facility
By Rachael Peterson
Published: March 4, 2013

Las Vegas - A decorated Federal Agent, and married father of two, killed at least 12 people on Monday in a mass shooting, at a secure government research facility, that led the authorities to lock down the surrounding area - even after the gunman was killed, officials said.

But by Monday evening, the federal authorities said they believed the shooting was the act of a lone gunman, identified as Special Agent Roger Smith, 35, of Phoenix, Arizona.

The chaos at the facility, the Center for Observation Research and Exploration, started just after 12 p.m. Civilian employees described a scene of confusion as shots erupted through the facility’s hallways.

“I heard three gunshots, pow, pow, pow, straight in a row,” said Marc Ward, a logistics management specialist from Woodbridge, Va., who was in the first floor cafeteria when the shooting started. “About three seconds later, there were four more gunshots, and all of the people in the cafeteria were panicking, trying to figure out which way we were going to run out.”

Security officers who swarmed the facility exchanged fire with Agent Smith for several minutes before finally shooting him to death, law enforcement officials said, but not before a dozen people were killed and several others, including  the facility’s director, and another federal agent. The wounded were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Oh ho!  Arizona.  Hmmm.. I don't think this was a psychotic break... I think he knew exactly who he was killing..and why.  Perhaps he realized something was influencing the Director and several Researchers through the 'pin-hole'..?  And his only way to stop whatever they were plotting was to kill them as no one would believe what he suspected?

But then.. maybe THAT was his delusional break... who knows? Smiley

You know Dom... it might be nice at some point to tell us what was the resolution of the Protectors / Ronin fight with the robots... unless your planning to return to and finishing that fight someday.
