I got into Doctor Who a few years ago, and I have been netflicking them.  I started with the first doctor and the very first episode and I have been going in order since.

I am currently up to the fourth Doctor and just finished  the Robots of Death.

Also, I have watched everything from the ninth Doctor and up.

I've just started watching the newer stuff (also on Netflix).  That old 70's stuff I always found to be way too corny/cheesy.  Even the new ones might be a bit too goofy and silly for my tastes.  The second episode I watched (where they go millions of years into the future) was so low budget, bizzare, and ridiculous (humanity has gone on for millions of years but most clothes, tech, etc. looks like it does now?) that I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make it much longer.  I'm hoping it will get much better.

Majestic, it gets better.   The budget gets better every season.  And keep in mind its a BBC show, a semi socialist organisation that once erased doctor who episodes rather than store the tapes or play them more than once.

I tell people that its not really science fiction as much as science fantasy.

So there are Dr. Who episodes that are lost forever?  That sucks...  I can't even download them!

Yes, I think there are curently 180 missing episodes.   One was recovered last year, and most are with the Second Doctor.     The first Doctor also has a good chunck of his stuff missing.

I think the Third Doctor was the last to suffer a missing episode, but I may be wrong.

It's too bad the Doctor can't go back in time and recover those missing episodes.  Or maybe he did go back, and he took them/erased them on purposeShocked
