Horror Movie Tropes

Alright, I'm hoping you fine fellas (and ladies) can help me out.  I'm certainly familiar, for the most part, with many horror movie tropes and cliches.

For our Guardians V&V group I'm running a Halloween-themed adventure this year and the players are all going to be stuck in a creepy cabin the woods.

Hopefully none of them are reading this (stop reading NOW if you are!), but most will be losing their powers (with some exceptions, like those rolled on the Skills table).

They'll be fighting to stay alive against some of the V&V universe Freddy/Jason/Michael Myers types.  There's Manslaughter from Most Wanted 3, Chainsaw from The Dragon of Juompur, and Samhain from Most Wanted 1.

I'd like to sprinkle tools and weapons all over in this cabin that the (now suddenly less powerful) heroes can use to fight off these monsters.  And I'd like to think of a few clever ones (that I can give stats to ahead of time), in case they get used as improvised weapons.

Any good ideas on what kinds of things to throw into the mix?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There's always the "Lysol and a match" attack.  Good for melting bad guy's faces, and eliminating tough odors.

Others that come to mind:
- Chainsaw
- Bow Saw
- Hatchet/Axe
- Old style bow and arrow (gotta hunt to eat yo)
- Bear traps (awesome idea right there)
- Chemical attacks (bleach, lye, oil/fire, etc.)
- OMG almost forgot - PITCHFORK!

Cool

Great stuff, everyone!  And thanks for the link, polarboy!  I think the Slasher Films tropes should be especially helpful!  Cool
