Here's an update of an old public domain character:

Charles Forbes was born into wealth. He had it all, but always wanted more. He owned an extremely valuable blue diamond, and decided to steal it from himself, and collect the insurance money (and sell the diamond off in secret on the black market). To do this, he created the identity of The Green Mummy (as he had a fascination with Ancient Egypt). He was foiled by The Black Owl, and ended up in prison.

While incarcerated, he met Professor Vatz, who was the Lash Lightning enemy known as The Mummy. Vatz had developed a paint made from Radium that when applied to the wrappings he wore, made him immune to all common weapons (in essence, making him invulnerable). He also developed a "hotlight" gun, which not only blinded his foes, but caused them to become disoriented and dizzy. Forbes and Vatz were cell mates for a time, and the two made plans to work together once they got out (and get revenge on the heroes who defeated them).

Those plans never came to fruition. Vatz was broken out of prison by Mastermind (another enemy of Lash Lightning), who wanted the secret of his radium paint. Vatz never told him, so Mastermind killed him.

When Mastermind broke Vatz out of prison, Forbes also escaped. He went to a hideout Vatz had, and found his notes for both his Hotlight Gun and Radium Paint. Recreating both with the aid of Crimesmith, he decided to modify his villainous alter-ego. Tapping more into his fascination with Ancient Egypt, he saw himself now as a Pharaoh of old. No longer was he the Green Mummy; now he was The Jade Pharoah, the ruler of crime!

They're going to be part of product releases for other systems. I looked into doing V&V versions, and didn't really get anywhere at the time. Given I haven't played or run V&V in years, it's not something I'm interested in doing anytime soon

Here's a piece Gregory Scott James did for Tom Hise, his character Cougar.

Been awhile since I posted any art here. Here's a couple of pieces by an artist named Gus Kubicek. First up is Masked Scarab, which is based on the first appearance of the original Blue Beetle in the Golden Age:

Up next is Green Lizard, a masked crime boss

From Ade Smith, this is an alien race known as The Voiceless:

This alien race is called The Screaming Ones:

Some new ones from Juan Paolo. First up, my take on the Open Source hero known as Ultaman:

and Fajr (Dawn in Arabic), an original creation of mine:

From John Ridley, the alien villainess Inferno:

Yeah, I loved how that came out. The basic idea was obviously inspired by the Mindless Ones, but with a gemstone body with veins of gold. They communicate via soundwaves, and can emit sonic attacks when needed.

Pre-dating the Royal Flush Gang, the Black Ace Gang appeared in 1943, facing off with Captain Marvel Jr. That incarnation was kind of a joke, but the concept of a card themed group of villains is a good one (as evidenced by the Royal Flush gang). I did a version set in the modern day, but this version is set in WW2. The group are former US super soldiers created by the American Ace project. They were left for dead on a mission, but survived. They came back to the US, and decided to use their powers for themselves. Taking on new playing card identities, they became the Black Ace Gang. They have fought various heroes, as well as the second incarnation of the American Aces (one of whom is the twin brother of Jack of Diamonds. The following images are by David Jaxon, a new artist I've ordered commissions from.

The group consists of Black Ace, who leads the group, and is a small unit tactician:

Jack of Diamonds is the troubleshooter, and an expert with fireams:

King of Clubs is the groups muscle, having  enhanced strength:

Last, but far from least, is Queen of Hearts. She's extremely acrobatic, and an expert with throwing knives:

Thanks Paul. It's my favorite of the bunch as well. The artist did a great job on it

A pair of new ones from Gus:

First up is a new image of the pd villain Sceptre. This one sees him squaring off with his nemesis, Black Cat:

The second one is an update to Jolly Roger. He was a one off villain who faced Captain Marvel Jr. His original outfit had no pants legs, so I had that updated (as it looked kind of silly without them):

Started working with a new artist named David Braga. I've mostly had him working on images based on various public domain characters. This one is 2 German villains. On the left is Stahl, who is based on a villain named Ornitz (aka Steel Nazi) who once fought Pyroman. On the right is Wrench, who was a one off villain who fought a hero named War Eagle.

Next up is Crimson Conqueror. He's the leader of a group of villains based in Africa. He's tied to the original one, not just in name.

Marabunta Queen is a modern take on the public domain Ant Queen. That character died in her only appearance. This character found her ant controlling helmet, and incorporated it into the armored suit she wears. This allows her to control the colony of giant red driver ants her predecessor could:

The next member of Crimson Conqueror's team, this is Black Fury. Inspired by a one-off villainess from the Golden Age, my version is a descendant of the Dahomey Amazons

Based on https://pdsh.fandom.com/wiki/Steel_Sterling, ígwè is a villain from Nigeria who used a modified version of the formula Sterling used to give himself powers. His skin took on a metallic look (which Sterling does not have).
