Actually these last two are pretty common in comic books. Look at the number of super-rich heroes you've got running around. And the same goes with "crime". How many heroes, started their careers as villains/criminals? I can name quite a few.

You seem to be under the misimpression that I was suggesting that these aren't common in comic books. When I describe something as V&V-ish, I mean that it feels like it matches the feel of the game in a particular way.
