I dunno who, but onna you'se guys posted some cool little cards with the important stats for a character. The GM would use them as quick reference cards during the game.

Anyone remember seeing them?

Dang... no replies...

Well, the kids went to bed about 30 minutes ago, so I had time to whip these up. Odds are they need work, but I think I'll just post tehm and brace for feed-back.

Happy Independence Day!

Those are kind of cool, John.  I can see them being very handy for GMs.  I do something similar for the bad guys when I run The One Ring RPG.

I thought at first you might have meant cards like these ones I made for the villains in my campaign.  But I didn't remember ever posting any of them here.  I've never really done enough on this project, as my campaign is too frikkin' huge to keep track of the (over 300 regular, superpowered) villains, and I probably only got about 1/3 of them ever done.

I'll post a few familiar ones here to show you what I'm talking about (not trying to hijack your thread, though).

The idea behind these was to have a little recipe-sized box with the various villains in the campaign, so we could keep track of who was locked up and who was free, and a basic resource that told what the heroes knew about the supervillains active in the world.

Hmmmmm.... recipe cards....

...yesssss...

No worries about hijacking. I'm just looking for the right balance of information and size on these cards.

I just used 4x6 cards for these, but even 3x5 would work, if you could get all the information on them.

On yours it looks like you could print out x number on a page (perhaps cardstock), then cut them out.

Yup, I set them up for 4 characters per page. Better than one-per-sheet, but still not "perfect".

Edited:
One imperfection I found is that there is no field for Basic HtH damage... oops...

Majestic I think you had mentioned this before, like you say, a lot of work to get them setup, but if you do them one adventure at a time, not too overwhelming.  I may have to steal, or borrow this idea as well.  Very cool, I think I've used something similar for non-powered thugs, but it was just one sheet with all of their basic info.  Easier because there were no powers to deal with.

John actually suggested I do this for Dick Dantes spells as a quick reference during game sessions.. I currently print his spellbooks prior to a game session each time instead.

It's a good idea, just have not gotten around to doing it yet.

The cards worked alright, but I think I can do better.

Gonna mess about with 3x5 cards so I can keep them all in an index card box.

For now, I have updated them a little based on what I learned from using them in play.
