Did anyone ever write them up for V&V?

I am most curious.

I did.   I posted my V&V stats, which I drafted as a teenager in the 80s, on the MHG forum several years ago.  If memory serves, dsumner posted stats there too for Morningstar and maybe others (which are probably better).

Unfortunately I don't.  But if you go to the MHG site forums and search for "Elementals," just a few threads will come up, I'm pretty sure.  One will be about V&V stats for the characters.  As an aside, in another thread Jack Herman answered a questions about the series and then detailed how the series was intended to end.

I should go check that out again, as I'm just finishing up reading through the whole run again.

Dan, you've mentioned before how you guys had an Elementals campaign back in the day.  Did you guys use the Elementals as PCs?  Or just have that universe (with all paranormals essentially deceased) as a background?

I may go back and put a little work in on them.

Hi Doug!  We did play the Elementals as PCs back then.  But this was in, like, 1985 or maybe even late 1984, when only the first few issues of the series had been published (and those, very sporadically).  So we didn't play them with much characterization or their world with any of the depth that was revealed later over the course of the series.   (And the guy playing Morningstar insisted on playing her as a male.)  They were very nearly Tabula Rasa for us as high school kids at the time. The two main attractions for us at the time were: (i) the 'theme team' aspect and their individual powers on the one hand, and (ii) that we thought we had 'official' stats for Saker and the Destroyers from the FGU modules.

Interesting!  Now that I think of it, the Elementals (or variations on them) would be a cool way to have four thematically similar heroes for a convention game, where one is using pregen characters.

An Elementals source book written by Bill Willingham was my most desired supplement for V&V. Maybe one day...

If I remember correctly, when the Monkey House Games website first went live 5+ years ago, someone who used to work for FGU posted in the MHG forums that, before FGU stopped publishing new V&V materials in the mid/late-1980s, an Elementals sourcebook for V&V had already been partially completed.

I have no personal knowledge whether that's actually true, or indeed if my own memory about this statement is even 100% accurate now 5 years later, but that's something I would've really loved to've seen published back in the day.

This is a bit off-topic... but I always preferred "The Southern Knights". I always liked their art and characters, and could not really find Elementals issues.

I would really like to see a Sourcebook for them!
