I have some ideas buzzing in my head and wondering what would be more interesting to play in?

A Space Opera or Earth Post Apocalypse?

In either case the players would have either no or limited Powers/Skills. In the case of no powers players would have base 10 +1d8 rolls for Stats to beef them up and roll 1d6 +2 skills to round them out. Similar to how I did the Ravenswood Characters but a little more beefy.

Either would be fun, but if I had  to pick, I would go Post Ap!   But only slightly.  Both are such great scenarios.

Both would not hurt me at all. I have more detail for the Space Opera but I always wanted to run post Apocalypse after watching The Postman.

Not sure why but I also loved all the Rifts stuff and there is so much to borrow from that

For Post Apoc would you rather play low level Tech circa 21st Century or something a bit more futuristic with some higher level Tech to be found and maybe some Gene Splicing?

How about maybe, like 50 years from now after a nuclear war where we were invaded by advanced aliens.  The war chased them off, but there are pockets of hi tech from ruined ships.  So it can be cavemen AND super advanced?

Seems I cannot get my head wrapped around a Post Apocalyptic scenario right now.

So we go Space Opera.

We have "The Imperium" which is ruled by an Emperor and his family but we also have sub groups.

There are 12 Houses and each House has 12 Families in them. These are the Lower Royals, Wealthy Merchants etc.

We will have Space Ships, Blasters, Terra Forming, Hi tech Weapons and Defenses as well as normal weapons like swords. Why swords? Because you can look so cool with a Lazer Gun in one hand and a Saber in the other!!
