Harold Krogan was at his mother’s.  He lost two teammates and wanted to just go home.  His mother, Agatha, talked him back to his senses and he signed the contract.  He was a multi millionaire.   


Quentin Mechanics finally hired the entire Meta Force.    The media blitz was non stop.   Meta Force underoos are a big seller.   Sleetstorm slurpees sell at ever 7/11.  Singularity hoodies fly off the shelves!





QM also recently hired someone new, Dr. Albert Frankenstein!





  Frankenstein claims to be from another Earth, an earth where science is forbidden and magic is taught only to the highest born.  Its world of oppression and superstition.   Logic and liberty are things to be suppressed.   He took the names of his two favorite scientists from our world.  He keeps his true name hidden as a precaution against the wands for hire from the Mysterium.   


He claims to have invented an new element, a power source.  He named it Prosperponium after the ninth planet of his Solar System, Prosperpine.  With it he said he can bring the dead back to life.


He also brought with him a ball of pure Oricalc, the rare cosmic metal of the ancient alchemists.  With it one can fly to the stars, or gain metahuman powers.





  The team was assembled outside Science City, Arizona.   They were to act in case things went wrong.    Famous superhero,  Stormbringer, was hired to create storms.   QM wanted to study his weather control powers to see if they could be replacted as a means to end world hunger.





Stormbringer donated his fee to charity, and of course, helped out such a worthy cause.   





The scientists ran Stormbringer though an array of tests.   What they learned what that his power disturbed local weather and would cause disaster if used to often.   Also, they could not find the power source.  How could a tiny human body power a mighty storm?     QM was stumped.   





Unbeknown to the Metaforce,   Dr Albert Frankenstein had Stormbringer strike his oricalc with lighting.  This caused a huge green explosion.   Gard Smith,  head of security for QM  West Office, recovered the glowing orb.   





While boxing it up, a green creature leapt out of a hole in the sky.   It was horrible to look at.   It made one uneasy to look at it directly.   As if the light itself didn’t know how to respond to the creature’s flesh.    Nausea, and head aches came to one who looked at it too long.





Soon two more emerged.    The Metaforce reacted like  the heros they are.   Singulariy found that the  gravity acted odd around them, while Sleetstorm’s ice was warped.   Energy and matter were both deformed by the creature’s presence. 





Haywire grabbed Ms. Smith and protected her from the creatures who seemed to be after the orb.   Ms. Smith didn’t realize it at the time, but she had changed.   The oricalc gave her enhanced ablities.  She fired her pistol at the creature, which seemed to not to be bothered too much by this.





Singulary figured out how to use her gravity power against  the creature and pinned one to the ground.  While matter reacted oddly to the creature,  the creature did seem to be harmed by blasts, bullets, and lighting.     The team seemed to be adusting to the battle condidions when a larger, blue toad like creature tore open the air and jumped at them.


It breated a white,  cold, fire at Skip Tracer who felt chilled to the soul.   This gave him pause, and the team regrouped. 





Singluarty leaped to the vanguard and punched the creature.  Her fist took some sort of damage,  so she pulled back.  The blue giant also breathed the cold white fire at her.     It hurt her.





The team decided to use ranged attacks from now on and over powered the four monsters.    





Quentin Dunlop ordred that their bodies were to be taken for study, along with the orb.   As of yet,  its unknown what    Hildigard Smith’s powers are, or even if she is aware she has them.
