Crazy though it might be, we have added two new 'titles' to the Guardians campaign. My son has rejuvenated his old campaign, and is now running two different groups (each with five players), that is all part of the same overall universe/campaign.
There are now seven titles (with all but one of those at least somewhat active)!
Here's issue #1 of one team. For now we're calling them World Watch, though I don't believe that name is completely locked in.
My son was the GM and he wrote most of this; I just edited it.
#1 – Secrets Revealed – The GamesMaster alerts many superhero teams around the world that the Cosmic Train has been hijacked, and that its new route is only back and forth between Alpha and Delta. She contacts the android Witness and explains her plan to create a team of heroes to deal with upcoming problems, but first they must participate in a game. Witness, Xcellerant, Mighty Crusher, Raphael, and Nightstalker (from Delta) receive a text, then the GamesMaster teleports them aboard the starship Courageous. After being secretly told whether they are ‘protectors’ or ‘villains’, they then contest each other, either saving or killing civilians in the massive spacecraft’s simulation room. Witness takes notes during the exercise, and afterwards both she and their host express to each other how impressed they are. The GamesMaster then shows them holographic videos of recent events. The first shows biochemist Lance Dragon, his bodyguard Lacerta Rex, and Mr. Fahrenheit (all from Delta), along with a young girl, meeting with Doctor Apocalypse, backed up by agents Behemoth and Ratman. Behemoth’s eyes flash red and he attempts to apprehend the girl, but Dragon teleports her away. The two sides appear ready to clash further when the scene ends. The second hologram reveals a press conference with Lance Dragon on Alcatraz, flanked by Lacerta Rex and Doctor Apocalypse. He claims that Motivator has formed an alliance with Lord Malek from Delta, and that the two dimensions are tethered and will fall together. He claims that he and Apocalypse will deal with this epic threat, and invites any ‘capes’ to join them. The third video shows a despondent Master Mannix (Delta) alone in a dark cell. He speaks of an ‘incident’, kept secret by seven people for 84 years, that should be exposed. He speaks of end times, a witch’s premonitions, and how the ‘incident’ is key to saving both worlds before hanging himself. After the five vigilantes consider the assorted clues, the GamesMaster teleports them to San Francisco, where a lone paranormal flees into a bank after being attacked by Inferno (Delta) and six of Motivator’s Elastimen constructs. The raging Inferno begins burning the bank to the ground, so some of the champions aid citizens as others fight outside, Witness rescuing the chased super. Nightstalker convinces Inferno that Motivator might be controlling him, and eventually he reluctantly departs. Four of the Elastimen merge and ooze into the earth. The adventurers find a strange device on one of the Elastimen, and later determine it to be high-tech memory viewing device. The rescued man turns out to be CoMet, one of the original Vindicators (Delta) and witness to the ‘incident’. Delving into his memories, the group witnesses the Vindicators entering Alcatraz Island in 1933.
