The other new title in our series of comics/campaigns is the Vindicators, which is a new incarnation of an old team from my son's campaign and dimension/world.

#1 – Delta Doomsday – In Delta, Red Baron summons new recruits into a war room at the Vindicator’s monastery in San Francisco.  Titan’s Fist (son of Rockasaurus), Spatial Shock, Aftermath, Escanor, and Dr. Richtofen eagerly arrive for their first official Vindicators mission.  Red Baron puts them through a scenario where some try to protect citizens while others attempt to slay them.  After a successful testing of their skills, the heroes learn that Lance Dragon is running for President of the United Nations against Donald Trump.  Shortly after, Dragon announces that he is leaving to take care of business on Alpha, which causes many on Delta to be concerned that Trump will pull ahead in the polls.  Red Baron then shows them a video of Master Mannix, alone in a dark cell, pleading about an ‘incident’ that occurred 84 years prior, before committing suicide.  The team then flies in the Vindi-Jet to England to claim Mannix’s body from a prison.  Just prior to arrival they learn that two other aircraft are inbound: another jet and a damaged Doomsday Robot!  When they land, they see the Destroyers standing ready to collect Mannix’s body and help break in.  The Doomsday Robot blows a hole in the facility, allowing some prisoners to escape.  The adventurers battle guards and the giant robot; inside the robot’s many levels they discover there are mind controlled operators inside!  Skarhone teleports in and blasts several Vindicators and Destroyers with powerful ice, but nothing happens when Spatial Shock is hit.  Behemoth and Titan’s Fist cripple a leg, collapsing the Doomsday Robot.  Skarhone and several supervillains elude capture.  Epilogue: The Destroyers are now allied with the Vindicators.  Mannix’s death is confirmed, and his body is returned to the States for burial.  A note is found on the corpse, containing coordinates.

#2 – The Funeral of Master Mannix – On Delta, Red Baron flies the five new Vindicators in the Vindi-Jet from England to the coordinates found on Mannix’s body, which takes them deep into the Canadian Northwest Territories.  There in the remote wilderness they find a memory viewing device and a note.  Returning to the monastery in San Francisco, Mr. Fiks offers to sponsor the team and introduces them to one of his agents from the future, VX, who they warmly welcome.  After VX encourages them to increase security, the heroes create a fake body and help coordinate the funeral proceedings.  Hundreds begin arriving, including Lord Malek and many current and retired heroes and villains.  Skarhone, Titan, CoMet, Mr. Fiks, and a hologram of Lance Dragon show their admiration and respect with speeches on how Mannix enhanced their lives.  Shortly after, missiles rain down from above, followed by four large robots!  In addition to killing civilians, the missiles disrupt phones and recording devices, though many are protected by Titan’s Fist and Red Baron.  The Vindicators and many other capes begin battling the powerful automatons, but find it nearly impossible to damage their high-tech, mystical armor.  All bear a symbol indicating their allegiance to Doctor Apocalypse, but each robot has powers relating to its name: War, Pestilence, Famine, and Death.  War breaks into the monastery vault and takes a gemstone, ignoring Mannix’s body.  VX suddenly turns on the Vindicators, draining everyone’s strength!  He takes Escanor’s sword before disappearing into the earth.  Famine scans Spatial Shock and identifies him as Daniel Dragon, son of Lance, before War wraps tendrils around him.  The combined forces destroy Pestilence, but the other three robots fly away, taking Spatial Shock.  Mr. Fiks apologizes for his agent and offers a choice for the next day’s headlines: beaten in their own home?  Or save hundreds in senseless funeral bombing?  The adventurers choose the latter, and later leaked news footage backs up that narrative.  The group convinces Skarhone to let them use the device on him and delve into his memories from the ‘incident’ 84 years prior.  Epilogue: The new Horsemen robots give Doctor Apocalypse (Alpha) the second gemstone his Delta counterpart created before his death.

#3 – Galactic Games – The Vindicators regroup at the monastery and discuss what to do about the kidnapping of Spatial Shock.  Red Baron informs them that Reaper has been murdered (on Alpha) and that Mantis-Man took a small squad to investigate and avenge him.  Mantis-Man also learned that Motivator (Delta) has been masquerading on Delta as Doctor Apocalypse and warns the team to be careful!  Shortly after, the group is abducted by a being known as Master, who seemingly teleports them halfway across the galaxy!  After some discussion, the team learns that Master is a former experiment of Lance Dragon; he gave some of the Zug (a slug-like race) an exo-skeleton that allows movement and a life beyond simply consuming entertainment.  These aliens elected Master to begin broadcasting a galactic spectacle entitled “Blood and Bones”.  The heroes discover that the legendary Earth hero Shockfire (Delta) is also here and being forced to compete!  Master splits the group up.  First he forces Escanor and Titan’s Fist to battle lava monsters.  Then Dr. Richtofen and Aftermath are made to fight reptilian aliens in space.  Master narrates the skirmishes and the crowd loves every moment.  Finally, Spatial Shock and Lance Dragon appear and are made to fight masked opponents.  They make short work of their adversaries, but near the end Skarhone appears!  Lance and Skarhone argue, and Spatial Shock tries his best to stop his father and brother from killing each other.  After the conflicts the adventurers plead for a way home.  Master, a being of immense power but lacking in creativity, makes a deal with them to summon a replacement team.  They nominate the Destroyers (Alpha) and Master agrees.
