Well...  Wonder Woman 1984 is being pummeled at the box office overseas according to reviews.  Hollywood is blaming covid, of course, but (some) reviewers are blaming the director Patty Jenkins and bad writing.  Considering DC's mediocrity infection, my money's on the latter.

As a comparison, the Chinese-produced film The Rescue opened at US$35M in China alone during the same time frame:

This indicates that the Chinese are *able* to see the movie, they just don't want to.

Anyway, I'll go see it Monday.  Work has me locked down and the pandemic has the theaters locked down, so I won't have a chance to see it until Monday.

We are going to watch it at home on Christmas day, but honestly even the trailers were bad. Not expecting much.

I was disappointed with this one.  Just way too contrived and unbelievable and overall I thought the writing and story was quite poor.

It was horrendously bad.  The story, the writing, the acting, the CASTING. all horrible. What a fucking train wreck.
