Pretty fascinating stuff.  And just the sort of thing to give you an excuse to partner your favorite "mad scientist" villain team with Intercrime to create and market for their nefarious purposes.  This could also be used for an origin story:

What if you could decide which genetic features were assigned to the embryo or whatever it's called?

Eye Color: deepest blue
Skin color: light but can tan to medium brown without sunburn or permanently darkening
Hair color: brightest red
Stature: forever curvy/athletic/both after puberty
Visual option: nightvision
Visual option: forever perfect HD resolution
Metabolic option: regeneration (light wounds such as shaving cuts, on-the-job damage from using tools, etc.)
