Starting a new online campaign of V&V.  Session 0 ended up with 3 heroes of a midnight sons vibe.  Definitely a mystic related game.  But super excited to be back in the game.


also, found out that JD banned me from MHG for who know what reason.

Scheduling meant tonight was the first game.  We have 3 heroes:

Storm Sentinel, a guardian who uses the power of nature herself to protect others.  AKA Roland.

Somber Shade, a mystic martial artist who can control the shadows.  AKA Gage.

Mistress Infinite, a sorceress who houses a demon within herself and holds The Codex Infinitus.  AKA Tera.


A week out from the summer solstice in Eden's Crossing, a major port city on the central Atlantic, and Mistress Infinite (Tera) finds dark portents for the upcoming solstice.  The sun at zenith, swallowed by shadows that turn to blood.  And legs, many legs, along with eyes.  She is able to see eventualities as she pursues the threads leading to The Elder Dark and The Arachnida.

(Gage) Somber Shade is given a rush assignment at the marketing agency.  A competitor had the contract for the Central Atlantic Museum, but lost it a week before the opening of a new display.  Meso-American artifacts are being revealed on the summer solstice.  He heads off to get the details and talk to the ancient art director.

(Roland) Storm Sentinel is working with the kids at the shelter, playing catch with Rudi.  Rudi runs to get the ball that went into the alley, and Storm Sentinel hears a terrified scream.  He rushes to find out what happened, and Rudi is terrified.  The ball went into a crate with an unusual number of webs.  Calming the boy and sending him back inside, Roland finds a dessicated cat caught in webbing.  But no spiders.

Managed to get all 3 heroes, in their street id's, to the museum where they meet the art director, Donna Lovelace.  People have called out due to rumors of a curse so she is short-handed and under a time limit to get the exhibit ready for a week out - it just arrived that day.  She also needs the display materials and promo materials completed by Gage's company. 

Tera saw with The Eye of Gabriel that the 3 center pieces of the display thrum with power - they are actual magic items.

Donna asks the heroes to help her that night with some of the work because she was so short handed.  They agreed, and worked for several hours.  Around 9:45 PM, Somber Shade hears a door opening where it shouldn't be and Mistress Infinite sees what appears to be someone laying down by the main entrance hall doors.
