It sucked.

It was a bunch of vendors crammed into a smaller area.  I got a copy of Sub Mariner #15 in  great condition for 8 bucks.   I saw  Yancy Butler, Mason Reese, and  the guy from local TV's Sci Fi Ninja Theater.    I also saw Dan Slott, like I do at every convention, but he never remembers me.   Why not?  I rock.

As I said to John.  Had that been the first  comic con he took me to, I'd never go to another.  Thankfully, New York Comic Con was my first and I loved it.  Can't wait for the one in Cali... we were going to go this year, but things got in the way, so hopefully next summer.

Sorry to hear that.

I go to Chicago Wizard World every year (not sure if that's even the name at this point).

Went to San Diego Comicon for the first time last year and had a blast.

This is a serious problem!
How do you meet one of your heroes and tell him you appreciate his work and that he inspires you, without it getting painfully awkward for everyone involved real fast?
