Origin and Background: Japanese, Master ninja assassin

Origin and Background: Very little information is available on the ninja known only as “Moonshadow”. He first appeared on the scene approximately five years ago, and restricted his operations to mainland Japan, where he reportedly carried out a number of murders for several warring Yakuza families. The only thing that is known, is that once he accepts a contract, he will not stop until that contract is fulfilled. Japanese police reports state  that witness saw him seemingly appear from nowhere in a crowded room, cut his way through several heavily armed body guards, kill his target, then “vanish” into the shadows.

Moonshadow is a highly skilled ninja assassin with several other abilities. He can cloud the minds of his targets, rendering them unable to detect his presence, until he is ready to strike. He can detect weakness in most physical structures allowing him to strike at the point that will do the most damage, and he can blend into the shadows allowing him to conceal his movements. His speed and accuracy with his weapons is almost superhuman. His agility is at peak human levels, and very, very hard to hit. He normally makes use of classic ninja weapons, smoke and flash bombs, poisons, and various gases. He is also an expert n disguising his identity. In the past he has appeared as a businessman, a poor farmer, a police officer, and a crippled old man.

Combat Tactics/M.O.: Moonshadow prefers to remain in the shadows, rarely if ever attacking an opponent  outright. He will observe his target for several days trying to gain information on him. If possible, he will assume the identity of a trusted figure (police, para-medic, etc.) so that he can get close to his target. Once he is within range he will use his weakness detection before striking. If all else fails, he also has access to several slow working poisons, that are designed to weaken his targets or powders that can blind them. Feel free to use your imagination when coming up with possible inventions.

Personality/Character Traits: Moonshadow is extremely loyal to his employers. Once he takes a contract, he will not stop until that contract is fulfilled.

For those of you wondering why I'm posting these guys stats, I figure since I'm not able to commit to running the game, I can at least post some info on the various characters, and let you guys make the most of them.

I'll be adding additional info as time goes on. Feel free to use this stuff for some fiction, in a game you're running, or whatever floats your particular boat.

Origin and Background: Price Hugo Vladimir Stoyanov, better known to the outside world, as the Despot, is the tyrannical ruler of tiny Eastern European nation of Morovia. Severally injured in an assassination attempt, the Prince's father, King Filip Mihály Stoyanov III, brought in some of the world's leading cyberneticist to repair the damage to his son's broken and bloodied body.

Using state of the art technologies, his body was repaired, but his brain was altered in the process. He became increasingly paranoid, seeing conspiracies everywhere.

Personality/Character Traits: Pompous, conceited, and arrogant, Prince Hugo rules his tiny kingdom with an iron fist. Disloyalty and insubordination are not tolerated, and will be dealt with harshly.   

Notes: The Prince has outfitted The Black Keep with wide range of hi-tech weapons, defense systems, and sensors .He also makes use of the Black Watch, his royal guard, and a surprisingly large number of robots to keep his people in line, and his enemies at bay.

Oh great!!!  Now I've got "The Sword of Damocles is Hanging Over my Head" from Rocky Horror stuck in my head 

Hmmm... Despot. 

He's ok.  Its his Hit points that are the real threat.  A skillful team of heroes could eventually put him down if they kept their distance and only stayed at range keeping the damage pressure up on him.  A team of ranged attacking flyers would wreak his world {no movement powers of his own}.

Neat idea but he's not mobile enough nor destructive enough at range to truly be a 'team wreaker' {like Marvel's - Doctor Doom, or Champions - Doctor Destroyer}.

I guess he has limited influence with the UN due to his Human Rights violations.  I expect STRONG sanctions are being levied against Morovia by the U.S. State department in the security council... kind of like Bahrain / Burma.

But what are 'Despots' goals?  I know its only a blurb about him but is he into world domination or what... doesn't actually say.

I guess I'm asking in what context would a group of superheroes end up in conflict with him?

Ah cool.  So he is a tyrant...but not a ethnic cleansing Slobodan Milošević.. or some-such other maniac.  I'm sure a anti-communist would have endeared him despite his human right violations in the 60's and 70's with the US.  We dealt with Mubaric after all! 

I didn't get the understanding of the robot army at his command... didn't realize that was what you were getting at.  So like ole' Doc Doom..

Might be neat if he has some royal knights, 'Ebon Knights'... cybernetically enhanced loyal officers.  But I don't know if his Meglomania strays into paranoid delusions over presumed threats of 'people' he can't program... per se.
