I think it's okay to leave off the numbers 0-2 on the poll. If you felt that negatively you probably wouldn't come to this forum. Right?

I gave it an 8.  It stood the test of time but there is always room for improvement.

I am scary, very, very scary.

I gave it an 8 as well.  It needs a few tweaks, such as some type of skill mechanic and it doesn't handle high power levels well.

I gave it a 9, I know there are some areas it's lacking, the lack of a skill system mainly.  I don't really care for all of the legal mumbo jumbo in the rulebook, but the rules are flexible enough to allow for almost anything.  Random character generation rocks.  Bizarre combinations can be tweaked to make perfect sense.  You would never get the kind of creative characters you find in V&V in other supers games.

The game is flexible enough that with a few house rules, it works better than any other system I've tried.

I nearly chose an 8, and - though it's by far the RPG I've played (and run) the most - I don't think it's the best RPG ever made.

That said, I think it's an amazing piece of work that stands the test of time, inspires creativity, and is extremely flexible.  I decided to give it a 9, as it's one of the best games ever made, in my view.  And to me, it's by far the best of the genre.

Rationally it's a 7.
Emotionally it's a 10.
So I split the difference and rounded off.

With all the new materials now available at FGU--for FREE--I have to go with a 9. They're filling in all the missing pieces that such a great game deserves. I am so happy that V&V is getting an official comeback.

I "heart" V&V!

I know; I'm pretty psyched about the release of new material as well!

10... but I'm obviously biased.

With all the new material, V&V has to be a 10.

Maybe 11 Plus Plus.

Troy,
Thanks again for your kind comments! It's a nice boost, honestly, especially when its late in the evening and one is rather tired and not in the fullest of moods to type away. Compliments like these are the energy drinks of design!

Speaking of which, I've got a certain wicked cellar level numbered out right now and its time to add some details.
