Poison/Venom (p. 15)
In order for most poisons, venoms, and toxins to have their effects on victims, they must first get past any outer barriers a target may have (Invulnerability, Armor B, Force Field, etc.).  Some may take effect upon contact with the target’s skin, epidermis, or outer layer (which may include Armor A), and thus could do their damage even when the victim “rolls with the punch”, while others have to get into the bloodstream (typically when Hit Point damage is inflicted) to be effective.
When poison or venom is delivered by a weapon that is part of the Natural Weaponry of a character, animal, or creature (often claws, fangs, needles, or stingers), then it usually is done as the payload attack of an initial HTH carrier attack.  Poisons usually attack as Chemical Power on the Combat Table, though some might use another attack form such as Paralysis Ray or HTH.
