Killing/Piercing Attacks

Here's what I've been thinking of doing for killer/Piercing attacks:

1) Characters cannot 'roll with the punch' with killing/piercing attacks.
2) Any damage that is applied to Power is multiplied by a factor of 2.
3) The character will continue to lose the initial damage to HPs/Power (as the case may be) with each Phase until medical attention is received.
Note: Any character can attempt to apply medical attention, but treatment from characters with the Medical Area of Knowledge double the character's Healing Rate and they immediately gain their Healing Rate to HPs when treatment is applied.

For example, a normal character with 4 HPs and 40 Power gets shot by a pistol. He takes 6 damage. The damage is subtracted from HPs first leaving 2 points left over that are subtracted from Power (modified by 2 for a total of 4 points from Power). That means the person is now unconscious with 0 HPs and 36 Power. On the next Phase, the character loses 12 points of power (that's the initial 6 points of damage x2 since it is all coming off his Power) leaving 24 Power. The character is seriously wounded and needs immediate medical attention to stop the bleeding.

Cheers,
Tim

I should add that it takes a special attack to make a killing attack much like how special attacks are required for powers to have their 'cruel' side-effects (like burning someone with flame powers).
