The Octagon

Print Post
Each of the three defeated Jellyman  had a  mysterious Octagon shaped symbol stamped on their tiny microcomputers.   It was deduced that this was some sort of signature by its' designer.   This was confirmed by Lapis Lazuli when she was interrogated upon her capture.
She says that the Octagon is a consortium of the worlds' smartest humans.   She being one of them.   Could the missing scientists  be forming the first team of super villians?
The assumed membership of the Octagon is Lapis Lazuli, The Burning Man,  Doctor Graymatter, Domina, The Subterranean, Venus Fly Trap, and the now deceased Hybrid.
It is unconfirmed whether any of these missing CHESS  meta scientist are members of the Evil Eight or not.

Lapis Lazuli and the Burning Man are now in CHESS custody, while the Hybrid was killed resisting arrest.

After weeks of interogation,  Lapis Lazuli finally gives up a name.   The ring leader of the Octogon, a person she never met, is called the Blue Blood.

She received her orders and information via email and telephone.  She doesn't know who the Blue Blood is.
Bette Noir, the CHESS's chief questioner, says that the Burning Man confirms this.

So this begs the question;  Who is the Blue Blood, and what are his plans?

The newest member to join the Octogon is Dr. Robson.  He has taken the name du Crime   Doctor Robug.  He has issued his first demand via a letter to the editor of the New York Post.

" Pay me four and three quarters of a billion dollars in gold or I, Doctor Robug, newest member of the Octogon, will unleash a giant robotic spider in the heart of Times Square.   I hope Mr. Sushesh will move his Kebab stand, as I really enjoy them, and I would hate to have to search all over  for a new stand.  Sushesh really gets the spices right."

No one took this letter seriously.   In fact the next day, the only responce was that four other letters, arguing that not only does Mr Susheesh "Not get the spices just right" but that he is in fact,  "the pits."

Only in New York.

It seems our venerable host, John, has Giant Robotic Spiders on his mind this week. That however does not make this threat any less real.

The Octogon is a cabal of  8 super scientists.   So far their membership includs, Venus Fly Trap,  Dr. Graymatter, Domina, Lapis Lazuli, Doc Hybrid,  The Burning Man, The Subterranen, and led by the mysterious Blue Blood.

Doctor Robug claimed to be a member of the "evil eight" but that would make the membership to nine.  So is the Blue Blood just their leader and not counted? Or was Doctor Robug application never accepted?

So far the only clue to who the Blue Blood is was found by Glare.  He is a current member of CHESS, and may or may not look like Matt LeBlanc.

It seems the Octogon, Down three members, is still a threat.  While the Blue Bood was outed as CHESS agent Octopus, and killed by the now deceased Magnum, the five remaining villains, Venus Flytrap, Burning Man, The Subterranean, Domina, and Dr. Graymatter are still in cahoots.

Recent events in Colorado show that they are using CHESS resources to create new meta humans.

FBI profilers say possible new members could be other meta geniuses like Dr Nadir, Doc Noggin, The Assembly Man, and The Big Idea.

Yup. This is a confirmed truth. The Fungi From Yuggoth have taken Clarence Darber, aka, Magnum's brain.  It sits on a shelf four brains away from Hilter's brain, and nine rows  below Marie Antoinette's.
