A Ton of Trouble

Randall Scott contacted Mr. James Drucker via computer link to follow up once again on Mr. Scott's several tasks he had assigned to Drucker.

The first being Scott's queries about the Japanese Monastery and it's financial backing. The Monastery Randall trained in was financially secure and all Drucker's queries had been stone walled. Someone or several someones were supplying them but the paper trail disappeared.

James Drucker had fielded a number of offers from various Private Collectors as well as Museums in regards to Mr. Scott's original volume of Miyamoto Musashi's "Book of Five Rings". Instead of accepting any offers however, Mr Scott decides it would be best to Donate the work to the University in Kumamoto City in Japan. The University will have full access to the Book but Mr Scott will be added to the Board of Directors and given immediate updates on all relative findings.

Drucker responds that it will take several weeks to a month to complete the deal and needed negotiations and contracts. He signs of from the computer contact. It would normally have taken him three weeks but the additional week will be needed to recover from the financial shock and and subsequent Jack Daniels binge Mr.  James Drucker is about to embark on to ease his loss of commission.

Randall Scott is not aware or even remotely concerned with these things so he simply goes to the local Dojo where he spends his off hours working with Children. After his class Randall retires to Mushi's Tea House to relax, try one of Mr. Mushi's new concoctions and lose another game of Go. All goes exactly as planned and that night Randall Scott becomes The Silent Fury.

After driving to an abandoned Warehouse Randall owns he changes into his Silent Fury Persona. It appears to be a quiet night in Little Tokyo and The Silent Fury begins to head back. This is when he notices a Huge individual standing outside Mush's Tea House. The Silent Fury immediately recognizes the Man Mountain as former Notre Dame Football Star Tim "Ton" Timmons. It seems young Tim has put on a little Height and Weight since his former playing days. About three and a half feet and some seventeen hundred pounds.

The Silent Fury surveys the area and the parked cars on the streets. He notices the van parked just outside the Tea House has Michigan plates and tinted windows. Not very common for L.A. County. As The Silent Fury makes his way around the corner of the unmarked Van he is noticed by Ton. Silent Fury reacts by whipping a Shuriken into the front tire of the vehicle and squares off against Ton. Tons only reaction is to turn his head and yell "Hey, Al. There's some kind of Ninja guy out here. Looks like trouble. In response The Silent Fury with his incredible hearing notes a response from inside " Alpha you over sized idiot, Alpha"

In seconds The Silent Fury is past Ton and inside The Tea House. He finds Mr. Mushi sitting in a chair with a cup of Tea and a Man standing over him. The Man is dressed in green and brown with some type of fur lining his outfit. He looks at Silent Fury as if he is only moderately disturbed and instructs Ton to handle the situation.

As Ton tries to enter the doorway The Silent Fury strikes. Alpha flips backwards out of the reach of Silent Fury's blade but Ton takes a viscous backhand right to the bridge of his nose. Ton shrieks and backs his head and shoulders outside of the door he wasn't going to fit through anyway.

The Silent Fury and Alpha begin to circle each other attempting to gain the upper hand in the cramped quarters. A few feints, some near misses and a scratch or two are given back and forth. Suddenly the wall caves in and The Silent Fury is wrapped in Ton's gigantic arms. The Silent Fury can feel the bruises immediately beginning to swell up in his chest and shoulders but refuses to let the pain show or even be felt for more than that split second. Their is no weakness in The Silent Fury. At this point Alpha attempts to take advantage of the situation but slips on the box of Go that was surprisingly left where it should not have been right in the middle of the floor.

The is the moment The Silent Fury needed. His arms are locked but above the elbows due to Tons great height. The Silent Fury reaches for his Tanto and drives it three times into Ton's thigh. This causes Ton naturally to scream like a Girly and go tumbling backwards onto the sidewalk. This reaction propels The Silent Fury into the street and frees him from Tons crushing grip.

As The Silent Fury rises he is one again confronted by Alpha. As the hackles rise on the back of Silent Fury's neck he ducs. An alley cat goes flying over The Silent Furies shoulder and that is the distraction Alpha needed. Alpha sweeps in and rakes Silent Fury across his chest sending him backwards.

The Silent Fury is tiring and holding back his blood and pain as best he can. It is time to end it. He advances on Alpha and drives his palm followed by a viscous kick which sends Alpha into the back of the van parked outside the Tea House. Alpha is down for the count.

Ton however is not and still has plenty left in him. The Silent Fury knows he cannot keep this up much longer and pulls out his Tonfa. With several swings against Tons knees and some resounding thuds he attacks what he thinks will be weak parts. This is of course after he throws a Shuriken right at Ton's face in order to distract him. The attacks to Ton's knees have an effect but not the desired one.  Ton grabs the Van and tries to crush Silent Fury with it by smashing it down on him. The Silnet Fury leaps out of the way and by the time he is able to react again Ton has scooped up Alpha and is running away with him. Just for good measure The Silent Fury throws a final Shuriken at the back of Ton's head. It hits, sticks for a moment and is jarred out by Ton's shaking girth.

The Tea House is demolished but Mushi is safe.

The next morning Randall Scott reviews the scene. Mushi is found instructing what Randall recalls as several local Gang Members the fine art of nailing in sheets of plywood. Randall gives Mushi ten thousand doallrs for the repairs which Mushi acpets but only after telling him he will pay it back in kind.  It seems Tea Houses in Lilttle Tokyo don't make that much money.

Fun adventure.  It  was a bit scary having 4 hits and only 10 power and seeing that Ton was still ready to go.

I am still unsure if Mushi is a good guy or not.   Either way, I don't like bullies.

I am scary, very, very scary.

Ton got lucky after the back hand to the face. He had to roll percentile dice every time you caused damage to see if he would stay in the fight or not. The first attack was modified  since you called the shot and multiplied by four so he was out of action for one round.
