I know (a bit) Walt and Andrew, from working with them on the Villains collection I translated to V&V for Zenith/Hazard.  Good guys!

Yeah they are. I know Rus (one of the two actual authors) the best; he's the one who is also an artist. Really good guy. So is Aldo, the other author.

Funny enough, I got Andrew into Supers! He passed on it once, then I told him to look at it again. He did and then he and Walt ended up buying the rights from the original owner. We all knew each other from the BASH forums (another superhero rpg), but I'm pretty sure they all got into Supers! after me, as I knew Simon (the original author) from his Sword & Sorcery rpg, Barbarians of Lemuria (which if you like S&S, is worth checking out too)

I've known Walt for years. We'd spent time talking gaming and comics online, and then as luck would have it, I got ended up on the same base as both he and his wife in Iraq. Good guy, with a lot of great ideas.

Richard sent me 2 colored drafts today. He's really got a flair for Golden Age character I think, so I've been having adapt characters in the public Domain. These are 2 German villains, Baron Doom and Count Berlin (I know, corny names!). The color scheme on the Baron isn't what I wanted, so this will change (it's supposed to be darker, more grey, but some of the images I sent Richard were the wrong color, so there was a communication mixup on that). Berlin is good, but I'm having the swastika removed, because he's supposed to be a covert agent, and I think having them makes him too similar to Blackout (with his Skull & Crossbones on both forehead and chest). Still, I think he got the looks down pretty well:

Which cover did you get? I got the villains cover, as I felt the characters looked more diverse. The Hero cover had more characters with pretty much the same color scheme

I didn't know there was a choice, as I just ordered the POD from Drive-Thru (or RPG Now, don't remember which).

I would guess it's got heroes on the cover, based on the looks of them.  A Batman-looking bird motif guy in the upper left, and a fat dude in the middle.

The villain cover was made public for a limited time to help the Wounder Warrior project. KS backers (like me) had the option available during the ks. It's much better looking than the regular one (which is what you got)

Would love to see what it looks like.  Is it posted somewhere online?

I would have backed this Kickstarter, had I known about it in time.  So far I'm pretty impressed with the mechanics.  The only thing that strikes me as a little odd is how 1D is "normal" for a civilian, but it's the same value for a "scrawny mentalist" (Fortitude) or "lumbering brick" (Reaction).

That's just stereotypical archetypes. Mentalists being powerful in mind, weak in body, Brick being super strong, but slow. As examples, they're easily ignored; I don't even read the examples in the book, because I'm too focused on my own designs. If all goes well, I should hopefully have my first release for the game (well this version; I had one for the original rules) out by the end of next month.

Thanks for posting that image; it does look better (though I like the hero one, too).

I'm really liking this game so far (I'm nearly half done reading through it), and look forward to trying it out!

I tested out a few combats with two of my players, after we converted two of their V&V characters.  I'm kind of mixed right now; some of my initial enthusiasm is a little muted, as it seemed to be play out pretty similar to V&V.  I was hopeful for less "I hit him again", but that still seemed to be the norm.  There's a few things I like, but I'm not sure.  Still have to read through the rest of the rules, though, as well as get some questions answered.

I can see some similarities, but I think Supers! does offer a wide variety of options that aren't obvious by reading through the book (I know because I've missed them myself).  I wouldn't consider it better either, just offering a somewhat different way of doing the same genre. I find that about most supers games

Found another cool artist on DeviantArt named Juan Paolo Mananita. He's doing a sale, so I got him to do 2 covers for me. One he needs to revise, but here's the one he's going to do using Drive By, one of the street level baddies Joe Singelton drew for me:

And here is the pencils for the other cover I commission from Juan Paolo. It's for American Ape's villainous brother, Simius, who leads a group of Super Apes in a quest to conquer the world. This image features Simius squaring off with American Ape, while Iron Ape is leaping to pounce on AA while's he's distracted....

yeah. I like seeing sketches/pencils on something before it's done. That way, if I need a change it's likely less work for the artist

You can see he had Iron Ape leaping at Simius there, but they're on the same side, so he had to fix that. Funny to see that still kind of in the sketch though

New one from Richard! Based on a pulp villain I created, this is Red Devil, Russian bad guy (though once Russia is our ally in WW2, he becomes an ally of sorts himself). Credit for the name goes to John, who has a villain with that name in his game

Decided to redo the mummy character, as I was told the original resembles Mumm-Ra from Thundercats too much. New version with more of an Aztec slant

A few years ago, I ran a Cosmic level One Shot for BASH (Basic Action Super Heroes) called Plague of Darkness. Major Meteor was one of the pc's, and the moon creature Joe drew was one of the bad guys. I'm having Joe do the rest of the characters from that one shot (and more). First up, the Malevolent Moon's master, the Elder Evil:

The servant race it commands (based off original designs by CuMorrig & Russell Boyd):

Their fighter craft:

early concept for the alien cruiser. This will change, as Joe put the tentacles at the back, and they are supposed to be at the front:
