Yps, where ya been?  Smiley
I voted no only because some are really interesting and I figure he's going to be hit or miss anyway, glass half full and all that.  Smiley

No, they're fun and it's not as if participation is compulsory.

They push down other threads that people are actually talking in for a thread that you glance at and never visit again.

Should we really make a new room because one poster is on a kick?  How soon until he tires of it?  We already have one whole dead section, the Empire City room.  Do we need two?

I ask again, "Poll Dancing"? I think it's a good name and I am sure I can find a nice animated gif of a hot cosplay chick poll dancing.

Believe me.. I'm still interested in the Empire City section!  If the game would start back up.. I'd be the first one to post.

But I understand your issue with the polls. 'Shrug'... so yeah they can be annoying.. but I don't see squelching a fella's enthusiasm for the lore of Comics.  I haven't collected comics since the end of the 90's.. just too expensive and MY heroes.. among the X-Men, Avengers, Justice League, Legion of Superheroes; Thor, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Superman are long-since so convoluted and or twisted/corrupted~ I don't even recognize them anymore.  Anything I was interested in - Thunderbolts, New Warriors, Legion of Superheroes is either dead, twisted beyond all recognition or just plain too depressing to bother picking up reading again... oh and yeah..STILL too expensive!  If I sound bitter.. yep, you got that right!

I just follow the Marvel Movies and ignore the rest... remembering... 'a more innocent and heroic time', of the Silver Age... now long dead.  May IT rest in Peace... along with our Dear Mr. Leonard Nimoy and his immortal character of Spock.

You said it...I don't even recognize the characters these days and the entire writing/marketing strategy seems to be "who can we pretend to kill/replace for a while to get an uptick in sales" or "what lame excuse can we come up with to drag this story across multiple titles so we can goose the sales of the ones no one is otherwise buying." and forget the concept of telling a concise story in a single issue.

I pretty much confine my comic book shopping to collections of reprints and the back issue dollar bin.

And why the heck hasn't metamorpho's original appearances been reprinted in color? And Black Lightning too?

I think we need to more seriously address this idea of a hot pole-dancing cosplay chick.

Cool. Thanks.

The polls are fun, but they do push down a lot of threads I would like to read.

This is an excellent solution.

Well if anyone doesn't see the new poll board on the main page, just do a refresh or clear your cache and log back in.  It's been up for several days now.
