Yo! Anybody heard from AlabasterKnight/James Bishop?

I know he just opened his store - I hope his absence from this forum just means he is too busy counting his profits to post messages.

Also hoping to see him open a web-store so WE can ALL buy his stuff (hint-hint... H.B.O.!)

He's alive, well, and REALLY busy. The new shop is eating up a lot of his time. He's hoping to get some help, which will allow him to free up some time.

I saw his hours are 10-10. Brutal, but that's what it takes to run your own business.

He and I may have had a few "issues", but I really hope he turns the store into a gold mine.

Just weird not seeing ANY posts from him... kinda creepy...

Perhaps... he's not at work.
Perhaps... he's not busy.
Perhaps... he's in a dark cave somewhere fighting for his very life!!!
And perhaps... other designers have become quiet...

It can be stopped! All we need is 16 over-weight Spiderman Cosplayers and my unlicensed (an legally ambiguous) clone of Molly Rignwald!

So... I am here. Sorry I have been away.

I just met Klystron.... he came to see me in the shop: Blown away!!!(which is where I am right now...) Cheesy

Great guy and excellent ambassador for the game.
We're open until Midnight on Friday and Saturdays too. It's me and one other guy rollin' this thing.

He bought Giants 4 & 5, so I signed them with much thanks.
We talked about the game and what we could do, but alas I need to slay the time free beast...

I'll try and get something done - ugh - Keep rolling the dice folks!

Hey all,

As AK said, he is alive and mostly well. That is not an imposter trying to subvert the good name of a Hero.

I'm AZ for a wedding and knew I had to find the time to visit his new store. I am so glad I stopped in for 15 minutes just to say "Hi and Good Luck", which promptly turned into almost 2 1/2 hours.

Sorry to keep you away from your business that long Knight, but you're just too damn easy to talk to and, well, since we both love this game, the conversation came swiftly.

I learned more than a little and bounced some ideas as well.
What a great presence for this game and a great contributor keeping V&V from the back bin.

Now, I have signed editions of playbooks.  You'll all be jealous when V&V replaces football as our national pastime.

When the people I work with start talking about Football or NASCAR, I start talking about my latest V&V or MechWarrior adventure Smiley

Cool! I'm glad AK is busy in the store! That's a very positive sign! Keep it up James!

Also, Klystron showed excellent taste by purchasing those two Giants  Grin

NASCAR: Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks

Nuff said.

Baseball and football I will watch, but I enjoy making people uncomfortable by talking about my own hobbies as well. Good to shake them up and make them realize I can also live vicariously through my own adventures instead of through the exploits of over-priced practitioners of games we teach to children.

I also tell them stuff that has happened while I am flying... Like being in final and seeing another plane landing on the same runway, from the opposite direction.

One guy at work hates all rich people - except actors and professional athletes...

In my experience, downwind landings are far more dramatic than they need to be.

Here's the dumb thing...

I was with AK for nearly 4 days and I didn't get a signature from him! What was I thinking?!

Hmm... but I did get a unique card counter for Sandstorm that we used on day 3 of Phoenix Con. He drew it, I coloured it.

But I should have got him to sign it! Next time!
