V&V Weight Divisions

If V&V had weight divisions, similar to boxing or wrestling, here's one way they might look -- based on the formula for Basic Hits and the tables for Character's Weight in Pounds / Agility Adjustment and Carrying Capacity in Pounds / Basic HTH Damage.

up to 30 lbs.
1 Basic Hit, + 8 Agility

31 - 50 lbs.
1 Basic Hit, + 4 Agility

51 - 60 lbs.
2 Basic Hits, + 4 Agility

61 - 100 lbs.
2 Basic Hits, + 2 Agility

101 - 120 lbs.
3 Basic Hits, + 2 Agility

121 - 150 lbs.
3 Basic Hits

151 - 200 lbs.
4 Basic Hits

201 - 240 lbs.
5 Basic Hits

241 - 250 lbs.
5 Basic Hits, -2 Agility

251 - 300 lbs.
6 Basic Hits, - 2 Agility

301 - 350 lbs.
7 Basic Hits, - 2 Agility

351 - 400 lbs.
8 Basic Hits, - 2 Agility

401 - 450 lbs.
9 Basic Hits, - 2 Agility

451 - 480 lbs.
10 Basic Hits, - 2 Agility

481 - 500 lbs.
10 Basic Hits, -4 Agility

etc.

Well done.

Adding Basic Hits to the AGL mod table would be a benefit to players and GM's.

Jeff and Jack really got their money's worth out of that one formula. It's used on the two tables you mentioned plus, Total Effective Range, Brawling Weapons, and Velocity Damage Bonus.

Was this chart also supposed to show HTH damage?

The chart shows weight divisions based on the default adjustments to Basic Hits and Agility adjustments based on weight.

Y'know one thing that's weird... there is a Agility mod for the character's weight. But we are supposed to play ourselves. Seems like reality would already have the AGL mod accounted for.

It does need to be there for NPC's and Rolled-up characters... but no need for it when playing the real you.

Yes. Of course. I think the rules might even say that.

Dang it does! I've read over that a hundred times and never registered that little rule.

Heh-heh... I do love going to class at "Polarboy University".

To add to that, here is my set of overkill tables mapping Base Hits to height to  weight to body type (using BMI only as a rough index and using body type terms ripped from Top Secret). I use this to quickly generate a weight and base hits for a character of a given height and body type (those two being much easier to visually gauge). I provide a few alternate base hits formulas for those who don't like to have wildly expanding hit points with increasing weight.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sAGqzZfECdsrxYXcY-WZQh-ZuVHgv3NuiNn4iVfI...

Also with a little playing around, you can determine your own fun facts, like Puck has a BMI of 61!
