Matt,

Normally, yes.  If you send me a private email I can send them one at a time if you like.  That will take a considerable amount of time, though.

Can you scan and send me the X-Men article you have?  I've heard of it, but have never seen evidence that it really exists.

Nice to be here, thank you! I'm really hoping the "OSR" helps bring V&V back into vogue. More than that, I hope it helps me find some folks to play V&V with. So far all the OSR folks I have met just want to play D&D, but my fingers are crossed. I prefer the super hero genre.

I apologize, I misremembered. I am looking at Different Worlds # 23 right now and it doesn't have V&V write-ups for the X-Men, just Champions and Superworld. The V&V article is just Jeff Dee writing about changes made between 1st and 2nd editions of the game. Do you want that? Or the Champions and Superworld stuff? Dang, I really thought there were V&V X-Men in there. I guess I confused it with issue 30, which has write-ups for the New Teen Titans for all 3 game systems. Do youwant the V&V New Teen Titans article?

Always down to get into a VnV session with different people. Live in New York City. Let me know if anyone lives near by trying to get into a session or wants more people for their game.

There are quite few board members in NYC, and John, the guy who runs this board, hosts a regular group.

My buddy in high school mocked up just about all of the X-Men back in the early 80's (he's the one who introduced me to them).

In the meantime, you can find a bunch of the X-Men statted up for V&V on this thread.

Hey. I'm new to this forum so I'm dropping a line here like the moderator said to do. V&V is a new game for me but I liked how the system works so I hope to get a game going once I have a feel for the rules. If anyone in the East TN. Area has one already going please let me know. I'm eager to get started.

Hey!  Majestic had the same problem.  I never figured out what caused it, specifically...  Sad

It has happened to me on occasion, but if I refresh the screen and re-load it works.  I'm not sure if that worked for Majestic...?

I don't honestly recall if that worked or not, to be honest.  IIRC it did.

Just happened to stumble across this board while doing some searches for V&V-related stuff and thought I might join.

I've been a gamer and amateur game designer since the early eighties and it always seems I'm working on some kind of campaign in my spare time.  Recently, I dug out my old V&V rulebook and an idea I had several years ago came back to me.

I'm now in the midst of writing the background for a V&V campaign/story series based on John Byrne's short-lived Danger Unlimited comic.  I loved the premise and thought there was so much potential there that just went unrealized.

Anyhoo, just fgured I'd say hello and formally introduce myself.  Looking forward to checking out others' house rules and such on the boards.

Thanks, dsumner and Majestic.

I was wondering, what's the protocol for posting on the other threads?  I know it changes from board to board.

Also, is there any V&V fanfic here, or elsewhere?  I've done a few searches, but haven't found much.

Hey Dave! Or should I call you doc?

The protocol here is pretty minimal.  I  believe in a low hands on approach to administration.  Just have fun.

Paul does a lot of V&V fan fic, but it involves himself in a leather costume and Batman.   You really don't want to read it.

Call me Dave, Doc, DD, whatever.  Just don't call me late for dinner *rimshot*

I'll have to watch out for Paul, then.   Shocked

One of my plans with my Danger Unlimited idea is to write a series of stories based in the setting.  I used to write stories for a superfic website called Titans of Tomorrow, and plan to bring back the character I had used for that site.

In the meantime, I'll keep working on the rules errata I've got going for DU, and maybe post some of the ideas in the appropriate part of the forum.

Ha ha, I'm not surprised.  Although, at over 40, I'm not sure if I would qualify as "younger."

Years ago, I had almost the full series of The Shadow (the original radio recordings) on casette.  They were interesting to listen to, to say the least.  Wish I still had them.
