Me neither.   I lost a lot of interest in the movie when I heard this.

I don't know; I've heard that he does a pretty good job playing a serious character.

I'll wait and see how he does.

I will go see it just cause it's Cap lets hope its better than the last Cap film. As far as the rest of the Avengers I read on a site that they were going to do Thor without the winged helm or his hammer. No helm I can live with, but Thor without Mjlonir?

Yeah, that's too bad.  I can see going without the helmet (perhaps just have him be a long-haired hippie like in the Ultimates), but the hammer is a huge part of the character (it would be like doing Cap without the shield).    Shocked

I got chills when watching the fight scenes she did.  Best stunts and movie fighting since Nightcrawler in the White House!    Smiley

I would hate to spoil the Iron Man 2 movie for those who have not seen it yet, but that scene with the Widow did rock! Favorite line from Hogan is at the end of said scene

Guillermo Del Toro won't be directing the Hobbit.
I hope Peter Jackson ends up as director!

I miss the ear wings and the tummy stripes, but it could have been a lot worse.

The Nightcrawler scnee was amazing. Just like all of X-Men 2.

The Black Widow scene was good. I love Robert D. Jr., but Iron Man 2 was disappointing. Justin Hammer should have been a rival not an interpersonal dolt.

I saw these on another site I frequent.  They said that these were fan speculations (based on real movie design notes), so they might not be the actual "what you'll see".

Thanks for the correction, Majestic.
Here's movie Thor speculation:
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=18735

This one I like a little less than Cap's interpretation.
I need the winged helmet, and the leather pantsuit feels a little Spinal Tap.

For those interested the Captain America movie I mentioned earlier came out in the UK in 1990. I remember seeing it in Vegas right before I went to college. Hope the new one is better

I just saw the new Robin Hood.  While flawed, I enjoyed it.   The costumes and sets were the most authentic looking.  I liked how there was mud and dirt on everyone and everything.   They really didn't romanticize the past.

Also on this site is home footage of Robert Downey in a comic shop. looks like he was buying Avengers books. Maybe he is doing research on how Tony interacts w/ the gang  Grin

Saw Toy Story 3 with the kids and I think I liked it even more than they did. It was great and really paid off the themes of childhood and growing up that they laid out from the beginning.

I agree. I just saw it with my son. I  had a geek-out moment, when the baby doll turned on LOtsa. It felt like an omage to The Emporer and Darth Vader.

Yeah! I also saw Big Baby as an homage to Frankenstein, especially in the scene when she's staring at the moon.

Hey now!  I thought the movie was alright!!  But I'm odd I guess.  I even liked the Halle Berry Catwoman movie, and Ultraviolet (sort of) and a few others that kinda bombed.

Me I'm a comic book junkie, like most of us and I bought  the  Catwoman film because it is based on a comic character. I even have the old Captain America serial films. So even if I don't see Hex in theaters I'll end up with him in my film collection

Can't wait to see the movie!!!!!

Ang is the best.  I hope he's just as silly as he is in the cartoon.

It's funny but my kids (9, 11, and 13) are having the opposite reaction.
They can't see how a live movie could possibly improve on the series.
Of course maybe they're just channeling the opinion of their old man!

While I didn't see it in the theater, I kind of liked The Happening.

And the previews look amazing (to me they look ten thousand times better than the cartoon, but then I haven't watched more than a couple minutes of the animated stuff).

It appears kids are just as choosey about someone messing with their genre as some comic fans I know...

That was the reaction from most of the group that my kids went with (and most of my kids that saw it); my die-hard youngest son (10, almost 11) really enjoyed it though (he had his older sister shave his head and they painted a blue arrow on his skull).    Shocked
