More Vehicles

I'm starting out with vehicles that are presented as standard (or close to standard) in the published modules and reference books.

Speeds for these helicopters from Tackle the T.O.T.E.M. appear in inches instead of mph

4-Man VTOL (from T.O.T.E.M.)
Weight: 4000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+3
Cargo: 900 lbs.
Speed 240"
Disable: 20 hits
Demolish: 80 hits

Medical Helicopter (from T.O.T.E.M.)
Weight: 6000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+5
Cargo: 3000 lbs.
Speed 200"
Disable: 30 hits
Demolish: 120 hits

Garbage Truck (from Super-Crooks)
Weight: 18,000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+1
Cargo:10,000 lbs.
Speed 30 mph
Disable: 90 hits
Demolish: 360 hits

The features below may be specific to the truck driven by the villain Garbage Man.
Trash Compactor: 1d10 damage per turn to those caught in the compactor. There is 20 square inches of garbage in here.
Ramming: +5 to hit, 3d10 damage

Tank (from Most Wanted Vol. 1)
Weight: 40,000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+4
Cargo: --
Speed 80 mph
Disable: 200 hits
Demolish: 800 hits

The features below may be specific to the tank driven by the villain Tank Gunner.
Armament: Cannon: 2600" range, HTH +4 to hit on target, explosive shell as Medium Bomb, Heavy Machine Gun: 260" range, HTH +1 per bullet over one, 2d8 damage per bullet -1 per die per bullet over one. Must fire in 4-round bursts.
Ramming: +5 to hit, 3d10 damage

Nuclear Submarine (from Organized Crimes)
Weight: 10,000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+10
Cargo: 2000 lbs.
Speed 100 mph
Disable: 50 hits
Demolish: 200 hits

More underwater vehicles appear in the module Assassin. The back-up adventure in that module tells us that a cargo airplane weighs 160,000 lbs.

Here are my two favorite villain vehicles from V&V.

GRAV-CYCLE (Super-Crooks)
Weight: 500 lbs.
Passengers: 1 (only the driver, the villain Professor Polarity)
Cargo: 200 lbs.
Speed: 150"
Disable: 5 hits
Demolish: 10 hits
Several other villains use vehicles that require more hits than usual to disable the machine. Other examples include the reinforced '57 convertible driven by the Concrete Savages in Super-Crooks; and the Grav-Sleds used by the Slavers in This Empress Earth.

THE CRIME CRUISER (Alone into the Night)
Weight: 7000 lbs.
Passengers: 1+4
Cargo: 3000 lbs.
Speed: 700 mph
Disable: 35 hits
Demolish: 140 hits
Letters on the side of the aircraft spell out the word C.R.I.M.E. More villains from that organization appear in the Super-Crooks sourcebook.

A wide range of flying machines and spacecraft appear in the published materials. How they operate, and even how sturdy they might be varies greatly. From the Deeps of Space gives excellent guidelines for building spacecrafts in that adventure.

Rocket Belt and Boot Jets

Since rocket belts and boot jets are so common in adventure films, I shouldn't leave these out.

ROCKET BELT (from TOTEM)
Weight: 10 lbs.
Passengers: 1 (+1); I take this to mean the person wearing the belt and someone getting carried
Cargo: 300 lbs.
Speed: 75"
Disable: 2 hits
Demolish: 8 hits. Note that the belt is more durable than the standard formula would conclude.

Iron Maiden of the Destroyers wears Boot-mounted Gyro-Jets: allow rocket assisted leaps up to 32" high and 64" long per turn.
