I would like to ask how the mechanics of this is going? I never did play by email so I am curious.
Does everyone feel satisified with this type of play? Is there a level of tension, suspence? Do you do one action a week? Or a whole "scene"? Forgive me if I am asking questions that have been already answered.
Well I'm sure everyone involved would love to get together for a real life game, but do to distance, time, and work schedules, we have to be satisfied with this. As far as satisfaction goes, I'll let the others chime in as they see fit.
For me, I've been a little frustrated that I can't spend as much time as I'd like to, as I'd like to get a least one regular turn in every couple of days (swing over to the blog to see how things have been going), but the goal is to tun a full adventure every couple of months. How that'll actually work out is yet to be seen.
Mechanics wise, I'm not sweating thing like power usage and movement, unless there's actual combat involved. At the moment, I'm concentrating on moving the plotline along, and getting these guys together. Once I have specific need to start tracking HP, Power, movement, etc. I'll list their current status, and track it on a spreadsheet, so everyone's on the same sheet of music. I'll also handle things like rolls to hit, etc (I've got a dice rolling program to take care of that for me). I hope that answers your questions.
