I really do not think Dom needs to share his dice rolls with us, less numbers more role-play. For instance the C.O.R.E. event happens in Las Vegas not Arizona.

I'm using it for a Star Wars game and it works pretty well. Characters can  be customized and it is easy to add wiki pages and character converstaions. It's in beta right now, but they're responsive to suggestions and bug fixes.

You know I never played d6, so I don't have any nostalgia for it like many people do (not that that's a bad thing mind you!)

Even though I've been a HUMOUNGOUS Star Wars fan since '77, and first discovered RPGs back in '79, I still never jumped on WEG's game "back in the day".  I think some of the art was goofy-looking and just turned me off.

I only discovered it much, much later (late 90's, early 2000's?) and now love it.

I've bought lots of the D20 books, but only to use them with D6.

My friend loves the SAGA edition and runs his kids through it; I think he's going to do a game at GuardianCon this year to show the rest of us.

He also bought Edge of the Empire and it does look beautiful.  I love D6 enough now (and have bought so much for it and have so many players invested in a campaign) that I'm not likely to jump over to it; at least not until I'm independently wealthy and have more time.

GENOM and Hillcrest Announce Research Partnership

Dr. Simon Poe, Director of Hillcrest Treatment Center, has announced their partnership with the pharmaceutical giant, GENOM. According to Dr. Poe, GENOM will provide funding for a number of research projects currently underway at the facility, including research into a number of new psychotropic drugs.  Dr. Poe went on to state that he hopes this partnership will be the beginning of what could be a number of such alliances between business entities and members of the treatment field.

I'm sure that any, and all, research being conducted at the facility is on the up and up, and will result in sort of major breakthrough in the use of psychotropic drugs for the treatment of a number psychiatric disorders. Secret Military Aircraft Makes Maiden Flight

Last night NASA is believed to have launched the first of DARPA and ADEPT's X-49 aircraft into low orbit. The craft's design and test flight  were a tightly held secret, known to only a few select individuals involved in the program. But sources who have asked to remain anonymous, as they're not authorized to speak on the program, have reveled that the aircraft is a state-of-the-art fight aircraft capable of operating outside of Earth's atmosphere. What purpose the military could have for such an aircraft has yet to be revealed to the public.

GENOM announces 3rd Quarter Earnings up

GENOM CFO Marc Saunders announced that the companies 3rd quarter earnings were not only up, but exceeded market expectations by 16%. This is the third straight year the company's profits have risen.

Saunders then went on to state that they'd be announcing plans for possible expansion into a number of emerging markets in developing countries, as well as possible joint ventures with a number of companies in the near future.

Sorry for taking taking so long to reply, lots of stuff going on that has eaten up my so called "free time". I'll be posting a few additional tidbits over the coming weeks.

Boosters Run Wild

Law enforcement officials aren't providing much information on last night's violence. All they're saying is that the 6 hour rampage, by over two dozen Boost enhanced young people, was sparked by what authorities are describing as a so called "Booster Party" gone bad. It took heavy armed members of ECPD's Major Crimes unit several hours to contain the crowd and regain control. While the damage is still being tallied, totals are believed to be in the millions.

The Mayor's office issued a statement, stating that "Hooliganism will not be tolerated. The good citizens of Empire City, can be assured that  the perpetrators of last nights violence will be punished to the fullest extent of the law."

well guys I want to come back. from reading what you have been doing here I have put together a new character and will post his background/history here. I have made him a teen who  was in the wrong place at the wrong time. One of these Boost parties. So his powers are like way new to him as in maybe a week! Since he has lived most of his life in Empire City he is looking for the heroes help. Also running from some men who seem to know more about his powers than he does. Will post them in Character section as well as bare bones stat sheet. I hope Dom will approve and fill in the blanks on sheet. I'll jump into the story and go until told otherwise

Vigilante Strikes Again

The Empire City Police Department is reporting that two men were killed last night, in what they're labeling as an act of "vigilante justice" buy the man calling himself the Jaguar. From reports taken at the scene, the two men were reportedly involved in an attempted armed robbery when the Jaguar appeared on the scene. The, robbery victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that the Jaguar "saved his life", and without his intervention, "who knows what would have happened". ECPD is looking for any information on the possible whereabouts of the Jaguar, and asks that citizens contact their tip line.
