This is the revival after the "Crisis" and "Legends" miniseries. Only first-time members are up for voting, so no veteran members such as Batman or Black Canary. Also this only covers the first 6 issues of Volume 2, before they went "International."

Blue Beetle. I especially liked him during Dan Jurgens' run on the series.

I liked Blue Beetle by Ditko and even the early issues of his DC revival. I thought it was cool when he was a member of the JL...until they turned him into a goofy jokester comedy relief character. My final straw was the whole "Blue Beetle gets fat" storyline. Did the character ever recover from those years? I stopped reading DC comics around '88 or '89 or whenever that was. I know they killed him and replaced him with a character who uses the name but has nothing else to do with BB.

I liked the comic blue beetle and the flaw of him getting fat.  Made him more human.

I found it refreshing for a character to actually possess a philosophy and political beliefs.

I liked Mister Miracle as a character, including the in-joke of an escape artist named Scott Free. But I thought he came across rather flat in the Justice League. I am not a JLA scholar by any means, but I think a lot of the male characters within the series have come across rather stiff unless the are the impulsive, angry, or brooding exception to the rule.
