Here are the adventure logs for my first campaign after 20+years, and my sons' first initiation to role playing...

I wish I could get the multiple attachments, but here is the second for the same campaign.  Someone please let me know if there is a better way to do this...

Here's the latest for that campaign, I'll post additional campaigns after I've gotten feedback, both on content, and on my posting methods.  I'm not as quick as I used to be picking things up, and this is really the first time I've ever posted anything anywhere... I don't even have a facebook or myspace page (I know, gasp).

These are great! I love the team origin concept and the themed hero names.
Were they rolling on Powers, Skills or another character for character creation?

It's cool that at that age they can get scared and freaked out.

Random rolls for abilities/powers.  For this campaign they got one roll on the Powers table and two skills.  No weakness.

It is cool to see their reactions, wait until you hear some of the things they've done...

I have to admit that my skin is going from it's usual Red over to Green with envy. I think it's great that you are able to spend time enjoying something like that with the kids and that they are getting as much out of it.

The only roleplaying I ever had the chance to do with the family is with the Mrs when I dress up as Little Bo Peep and she dresses as...Oh, wait that's not for this forum.

Anyway, I really do think your lucky being able to share something that your all very interested in. I'm lucky enough that my little Devil enjoys much of the same Fantasy type things that I do. We're actually doing the Rennaissance festival this weekend and she will be going as an Elf. I'll see if eventually I can get her into Roleplaying but in the meantime I'll be looking forward to more posts about their adventures.

Cool, I took my sons to Comic Con in Dallas back in early August.  We did not go in costume, but they had a good time.  We didn't stay as long as I would have liked, and didn't go to any of the panels... attention spans being what they are, but they had a good time, and are looking forward to Si-Fi Con her in October... Maybe I can get them to dress up as Star Wars characters, hadn't thought much about it... never was much of a LARP'r.

No LARP for myself or my daughter but when your 8 and Mommy is willing to spend 2 hours putting on your ears and face paint so she can spend another 10 hours taking pictures you tend to go with it. Emily (my daughter) is dressing as the Elf, I'm dressing as "Daddy".

...and probably spending a lot of money.

Jimmy,

When you feel Emily is ready, bring her over to role up a character.  We can make a "Four Color" Campaign for her to dip her toes into.  Or make it a fantasy setting if you think she would like that better.

Also, Elle and I are planning to go to the next Big Apple Con you and Emily should come with us.  Get your geek on!

Is this the best way to post these, or should I just copy and past them into the thread?

Emily has quite a ways before she's coming over for roleplaying adventures. I'm lucky that I can get her to look over my shoulder when I log in. I do have to thank DSUMNER for posting so many pictures as that is a real thrill for both of us. Of course there is always Uncle John and Auntie Elle spoiling her with a few figures and stories.

Whenever you are ready to go hopping in Manhattan let me know because they both love heading in and dragging poor evil Daddy with them. Right now we are getting ready to wake up early for Elf ears and makeup in Upstate New York. If anyone needs an extra Broadsword or a Oversized Maul give me a call........

Only looking at wooden replicas while I'm there, much cheaper and safer. I did see a miniature Catapult last year that flung Marshmallows. That might have to become a " Must Have."

OK, here's the next campaign/mini-series.  The next three took place over Spring Break... I didn't have a lot of modules, so I was pulling a lot of ideas from the internet, unfortunately, I was not aware of this site...

Wonderful stuff, Hammer!  I can't wait for the next posting.  By the way did they ever come up with a team name for the "Greek Squad"?

No they didn't... That was the last time they used those characters, other than fighting themselves in the next adventure series, them actually finding out they were fighting their old characters ended up being more fun than the battle.  They wanted to know which one was who, and talked about how they took them down.  I'll continue posting later adventures...

You guys are pretty well caught up with where we are.  I'll post these one at a time for discussions if there are any.  I'm using the FORCE module, but all of the characters from the Crisis at Crusader Citadel have been involved... I modified the module pretty extensively.  FORCE is more like Magneto, in that he's trying to make the world a better place for mutants, which the heroes just happen to be. Here's the first session of this campaign.

Only a few more, and I'll be putting up as we go through them. Smiley  I was just sending these to my friends, it's nice to have a broader audience.  Please feel free to comment with ideas/threads, anything I can use.

We've only used two modules so far, C@CC and FORCE.  I plan on using Death Duel Next, then DA, then probably Assassin, I haven't gotten past that.  My son (Joshua) has started GM'ing, and he's doing Dawn of DNA, so we're kinda switching off taking turns at this point.

We're just about to wrap up FORCE, the module, not so sure about the Villain... They are at the "last" battle.  Here's the write-up on where things have gone, and where they stand.  I think I'll put something over on the module poll about what I'm doing with FORCE, in case anyone is looking for ideas.  I'd really like to hear any ideas about the characters, adventure threads you might see in there, or anything you think would be useful for future adventures.  I think they all like the characters they are playing with now, and I am planning on continuing to adventure with them.

I'll wait until they finish this adventure, then I'll post our adventures with my son GM'ing the Dawn of DNA.

Hammer

I'm getting this error trying to attach the document, but it's smaller than some of the other posts here.  Anyone have an idea what's causing that?

OK, trying to post again.  We've actually played two short sessions after this, they did end up fighting it out, which is how I figured it would end, but it's been a huge battle royale...  I'll summarize that and post it later.

For now, here's 3-5. Smiley
