Here's the background for the second of three characters in John's campaign. The Seer has yet to see any action. The custom character sheet can be viewed in the attachment at the bottom of the page.

ORIGIN:

Dr Jason Wyndham was a brilliant scientist with a very special ability. He was able to see the weakness in nearly anything he touched and he was able to get flashes of the very near future. With these talents, in addition to being highly intelligent, he also became a paragon of physical ability excelling in both sports and various Martial Arts. His capacity to know his opponents actions before they did made him virtually impossible to strike or counter. Jason was on top of the world.
However, he was afflicted by a most ancient ailment: Hubris. Jason wanted more and felt entitled to satisfy his every desire.
Jason worked hard and developed a radical break through in Nano-Technology. He had developed a new alloy he called Impervium. It was nearly as strong as adamantium but resisted most energies and magnetism. Utilizing this material as well as new power sources and micro cpu’s he developed, the Nano-Tech field was pushed light years ahead of it’s time.
He had become paranoid however, that someone might steal his idea and his glory if he should reveal his inventions to his peers before implementing them. Foregoing all safety regulations as well as necessary in-depth testing, he decided to use this new tech on himself.
All seemed to be progressing smoothly. The Nano Surgery was virtually painless and completely automated. Jason was even impressed with himself.
Then it all went to Hell.
Jason’s body was wracked with pain and he began to vomit blood. Through sheer force of will he managed to get to the lab terminals and run an analysis of the procedure to find the problem. His body was rejecting the implants on a genetic level. The nannites were at war with his very DNA. He needed to find a way to adapt his body but he was so weak…
He awoke some time later on his lab table, a friendly voice chiding him for his arrogance. Dr. Alexa Kelvin had heard him thrashing about in his convulsions and came to his aid. She had been pouring over his notes and thought she might have found a way to recombine the Nannites and his DNA through pulsed doses of spectral radiation. If she could mutate both into a similar enough structure she may be able to save his life. It wasn’t much but it was all she could think of. Days passed and Jason was subjected to tortuous agony. It was like concentrated chemotherapy magnified a hundred fold. A number of weeks later Jason awoke. He was alive but still very weak. It would take almost 6 months of bed rest and round the clock care before he was able to even stand on his own and close to a year until he was physically able-bodied enough to exert himself. Dr. Alexa had saved him. Her procedure worked but it could not reverse the damage to his cardio vascular system. His constitution would never be as hardy as it had before. In time he would discover however, now that his body and the implants worked as one, he possessed extraordinary abilities.
In the time spent recuperating Jason lost himself deeply in thought. His pride nearly killed him. The fact that he was saved by one of the colleagues he feared would steal his invention was an irony not lost on him. His discoveries were not a privilege or a vehicle of personal acclaim, but a responsibility. He vowed to share his discovery for the betterment of humankind instead of himself. Unfortunately, when he went back to his lab, he was dismayed to find every trace of his research missing! Dr. Kelvin explained that not long after the incident, some agents claiming to be from the NSA, came and confiscated his entire lab. They just took everything and disappeared. No names or contact information were given and they justified all their actions within the guise of “Top- Secret” security reasons.
Jason was alarmed and stricken. If his Nano-Tech was weaponized there was no telling what horrors could be unleashed. He had to gain access to the Government and he could think of only one way. Revealing himself as a meta human he requested enlistment in the new super human task force organized by CHESS claiming he wished training and an opportunity to serve his country. Such a prominent athlete and scientist was heartily welcomed to their ranks. Taking the code name : The Seer, Jason is ready for his first assignment. He hopes he will be able to earn the trust of his superiors and attain ever greater security clearance so that he may track down his missing Nano-Tech and keep himself from becoming the next Oppenheimer, responsible for a new weapon of untold destruction.

Nice, from these descriptions, I'm guessing John goes for a higher level game.  These characters are well fleshed out, and I could see any one of them in a comic... Great write ups!
