	I try to give my NPCs and villains a distinct personality, to allow players a chance to actually role play and develop. As the game develops, the various people they interact with will change with them. It's one of the reasons I give bonuses to players for good role playing, and not just busting through the door looking for goons to smash.

	Cool, I love the chance to do more that roll dice constantly! I want lots of personality. I want to hate/cringe/despise the villains, love/be annoyed/care about the NPCs, and laugh/tease/argue with the other PCs. I don't need cold weather like Jack Frost since my electric fan follows me around like a puppy when I am working in the garage. GO EMP U!!!! (We have a football team right??)

Empire City State University (ECSU) has a football team (the Wildcats), as well as a track & field, basketball (the Allstars), and swimming, tennis, field hockey, etc. I'm still working on names for the major league sports teams, but EC has a NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL team, as well as two large sports arenas.

	Question: Are there any military bases near Empire City? If so what branches of the military? Are the bases named,how big,etc.?

	I haven't really decided, as I develop the world, I'll be adding info on what's around the city, as well as some of the other cities of the campaign world. As it stands right now, there's at least one other "major" city I'm playing around with, called Steel City, but more on that later.

Hey Dom I'm quoting Avatar because I have the same question. I tend to like writing character material "loosely" (very loosely as I get older - lol) related to my own history. 	To be honest, I hadn't decided if there's any military presence in area, other than the National Guard armories, and armed forces recruiting stations. I'll think about it nest week, and get back to you. If I don't shoot me a PM reminding me.

	Just a suggestion If as you mention in the source book (I think) Empire City is a NYC-ish equivilant. There should be at least a couple bases for the National Guard and Coast Guard. I could see it going either way for the other branches. Seems that major metropolitan areas generally don't have bases perse but in a nearby secondary city. For instance Los Angelos and San Francisco don''t have a real naval base but Long Beach and San Diego do.

I know NYC has several large NG armories, as there's an Infantry unit based in one of them (My old NG unit provided air defense for them). And the Coast Guard has a Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) based in NYC (although it might get axed during this latest round of budget cuts). 	I'd heard of Treaure Island when I was stationed out of Long Beach but I never met anyone who had ever been stationed there. It was 30 years ago mind you, but I remember George Bush (vice-president) coming on board and shaking many of the crews hands after we had pulled into port (not at Treasure Island) after a short cruise down from Seattle with family members who had joined us. there. more On Topic - after going through the all the information I could find here I spent a little (but not enough) time going throught hte more recent Protector Blog storylines and honestly Dom you seem to have all the basics covered. I tend to enjoy a good mystery so the celestial event and the absence of the Protectors are very interesting to me. I am also curious how the government has incorporated meta-humans into departments of Home Security and National Defense? (I'm working 3rd this week so if I've missed those references I apologize).

BSI (the US government's supers agency), is a branch of the DHS (they used to be over at DoJ, but kept bumping heads with the FBI, who sees BSI as a competitor). The military sponsors a super team, but it's been keeping a low profile, as they've been involved in military operations overseas.

	Ok. I got a question... What about the events from the previous Protector's storyline? Are they ...wiped away, Retconed? If so is the new drug, "Boost" still being pushed on the streets? Thunderbolt's origin need not be the current focus of the story or TB could still be looking for the Corporation or Street Dealers that tested those designer mutagen drugs on he and his sister Sarah. Just curious to know ... what I know that is still valid. Oh and what do I want to see...? Yeah role-playing with both villains and good guys.. yeah even a little romance if you can swing it! lol! Thunderbolt is kinda smitten with a villainess..

If I recall correctly TB saved the life of the Booster-stalker boy watching his sister at home when he went wild into a 'boost rage fit'. Also the 'boost' hyped would-be rapist outside Leonetti's bar. TB also busted up the drug shipment down at the docks... lots of things done. We anywhere near level 2?

	You'll be 2nd level when the game kicks off again. And you also have 1 hero point for saving the hyped up Booster kid (namely for some quick thinking and some pretty good role playing on your part).

	All of the guys who were involved in Servants of Set storyline advanced to 2nd level. I could have sworn I put that out to you guys, and asked how you wanted to handle any inventions, training, etc. But I could be wrong.
